Bit of context and fact for you all..

1. Folau didnt specifically target gays he mentions an array of sinners who unless they repent (change thir course of life) go to "hell". Once again I didnt see the fornicators / adulterers etc having such an outcry... seriousl pathetic idiotic RA and its leadership and dumbass wannabe ex players etc who are clueless to context.

2. In rugby league world cup year bck or so. All the players of Tongan descent rejected playing for kiwi team and went and played for Tonga. Result - Tonga beat the kiwis and made it to semi finals. I would love to see Tongan extraction players from both kiwi and aussie and other global rugby camps as a show of solidarity jump over to the Tongan team... and seriously NO one at RWC would want to play them.

3. This saga isnt over yet - I feel it will go back to court and RA will be liable for unfair dismissal. As corrupt and as screwed up the system is in general I still feel the precedent around this topic is one that will have reverberations around the matter for years to come.

In essence I agree with you.   It is a pity that they have a transversal in charge of rugby in Australia and a gay in charge of one of their sponsors - who have no regard to rugby at all. 

We have some members on site with constant attacks on Christianity as a religion and saying virtually nothing about other religions.   They abuse the principle - crucial to democracy - that people have the right to choose what they believe in and have the right to express their opinions freely and without prejudice.  

Personally I think Aussie rugby is in deep trouble has is evident from performance of the Aussie teams in Super Rugby and some of their key players are from the Pacific Islands,    As far as I can make out the people from the Islands are deeply religious and  will not accept vilification based on religious beliefs.    That may have serious ramifications for the game of rugby in Australia.    

I think the story about "political correctness" through abuse of religious beliefs ha no place in sport and  is really as bad as quota selections in SA is.   Hope the Courts in Australia do not get caught in a web like happened in this case. 

For me the key is the game  of rugby - nothing else.
