If you still fail to understand why I am still saying it is bullshit, then read the very first sentence from my very first post, which was not highlighted then, but only later

My first post:

"Innocent members of the public?"

My second post:

"but I do think that you are being an asshole for stating that he just randomly walked around that evening, beating up "innocent" people"

Focus Db...……..

My argument has never been that Stokes was 100% innocent in any of this

My argument from my very first post, and second post, was that Stokes did not just walk out a pub, and just walk around the streets  looking for the first innocent guy on the street to knock him out cold, which is how it was portrayed in the post that started this thread.

Ok, I see after posting my last post that you clearly fail to see what I am getting at or referring to

Answer the question Db

Yes or No

Oh Jesus Db

Read my message please...… for christ's sake..... just read the bloody post, especially where I highlighted it last week

So, you believe that Stokes left the pub and walked up to the first completely innocent person on the street and knocked him out cold.

No words, and no actions by anyone.... Stokes just walked out the pub and knocked out the first completely innocent person that was in front of him

Yes or No?

No, I did not imply anything of the sort. Go read the reports. I think the following is a much more logical explanation: He got p!ssed at a pub, got into a slight argument with 2 other people and he beat the sh!t out of them. Somebody pulled some strings and he got let off easy by the "Crown's Prosecutors"

The fact that you seem to think assault is OK under certain circumstances is telling though.

LMFAO

Ok Db, let me get this correct

According to you:

Some very random and completely unknown male gay couple, have just also randomly decided to go very public about being abused verbally with homophobic slurs, and also being threatened with potential violence by 2 guys who were drunk, and being saved by Ben Stokes...… but nothing at all really happened to them, and they both made this whole story up.

Then, at the same time, Ben Stokes just decided to walk out of a pub, and approach 2 very random guys, one of them a bouncer, so he must be a decent size.... and proceed to knock them both unconscious, without a word being uttered by anyone involved, he just very randomly and casually without any spoken word.....  knocked out 2 completely innocent members of the public

But DA the bit I don't get is why he had to beat these guys up when they left the pub and were a threat to nobody. To me it seems like a self indulgent vicious attack. Which caused serious physical damage. A guy like Folau could snap Stokes like a twig...but he never would because of his principles. But somehow Stokes' principles are acceptable and Folau's aren't? It's a strange, strange world we live in Master Jack.

Hi Moz

I don't mean that at all

I am saying that it was incorrectly stated that Stokes randomly walked up to some totally innocent guys in the street and knocked them both unconscious, without a word being uttered by anyone, which is what it was made out to be.

The aspect of Red's post that I was focusing on, was the statement that these people were all completely and utterly innocent, as stated by Red, except Stokes, which clearly was not the case.

My first post was this....

Innocent members of the public?

Are you seriously trying to pass it off as just that?

Because it did not involve completely innocent people

According to the gay couple's own statement, they were verbally attacked in a homophobic way by these 2 guys, and they also thought that a physical attack would have happened, were it not for Stokes and he stepped in

Should he have done so, I don't know, would I have done so for my friends, probably

Db just wants to twist this, so it looks like I am now endorsing violence, but that's Db, so I take it from where it comes from.

There is a very big difference to walking down the street and randomly punching some guy unexpectedly in the face and knocking him down to the ground unconscious...……. compared to getting into a altercation with someone after a heated confrontation and hitting somebody...….. which was my point, but let Db try and twist it the way that he wants to.

"But somehow Stokes' principles are acceptable and Folau's aren't"

I have never once said this, anywhere, in any post

I have never once referred to this or alluded to this, at all, on this forum

I have not once brought this up, until this thread here

All I maintain, is that Stokes did not randomly walk down the street and punch some "innocent" men in the face, as was stated here.... something clearly happened, as has been evidenced by the statements that came out.

Simple, but people like Db will try to make something I said, into something it is not

OK DA, so if he had a gun, he could have shot them and it still would have been fine because they verbally abused a gay couple? When does the amount of violence used stop being acceptable?
Stokes can't even recall that he punched one guy and he can't recall what was said, but after consuming lots of alcoholic drinks, he wasn't drunk???
The gay couple jumped on the bandwagon when they realized who Stokes were...gave some interviews to the media...told their story...I'm sure everything for free.
As for "innocent members of public"...well Hale was found innocent of affray too, so yes, according to your logic, everyone were innocent...tell it to the guy with the fractured eye socket...
Let's face it DA you are defending this because the comparison was made between this and what Folau did.
If you read any of those articles with discernment, you would have conclude that Stokes was lucky to get off as lightly as he did.

BS...you are the one doing the twisting. You rightly reacted to Red's version of the story with a version of your own...I just highlighted a few "facts" in a few clearly slanted articles to poke a few holes in the media narrative.

"Stokes can't even recall that he punched one guy and he can't recall what was said, but after consuming lots of alcoholic drinks, he wasn't drunk???"

LMAO

Where the hell did I say he wasn't drunk...…. anywhere?

Again, this is just you twisting shit again for your own benefit...... therefore I take it from where it comes

"When does the amount of violence used stop being acceptable?"

Where did I say any violence was acceptable?

"OK DA, so if he had a gun, he could have shot them and it still would have been fine because they verbally abused a gay couple?"

Try and get as dramatic as possible please, to emphasize your point...…. maybe if he had a car, and not Uber..... he would have hit them and reversed over them...… 4 times...… and then maybe even gone forward once, to ensure that they were dead?

"Let's face it DA you are defending this because the comparison was made between this and what Folau did."

Complete and utter horse shit, here you go again, pretending to know what someone else's intentions were when they posted something, just like you did the other day when you tried to explain to me what Piss Mint was actually meaning with his post, when I questioned a post of his

Typical Db style, you don't know shit Db...…. you like to think that you do, and that you might be the resident shrink...…. but you know SFA

Well this is a very contentious issue. My guess is Stokes is a belligerent drunk. That doesn't mean he shouldn't entertain us. If we had the scoop on all the sports figures we watch, many aberrant characters would emerge. Folau is a different case, an old fashioned man who is compelled to live his beliefs. Yes it's obviously a problem for an employer if these views are antithetical to their business model But what about the Qantas partnership with Qatar airlines? It only survives because the reality of Qatar's laws against gays is brushed under the rug....never examined. So the Diamond League chock full of gay women can compete in Qatar, because the money works. It survives because nobody asks the obvious question. The. Folau thing should also have been dealt with quietly, with a little bit of sympathy for a sincere, simple man who is willing to destroy the thing that makes him exceptional, because of his beliefs.

"Damn boy ... you just can't help yourself."

Come now..... go and help yourself CC

Give mom a call and set up that meeting to discuss those issues that started when you were 6 years old, and have manifested themselves all these years, till the ripe old age of 56.

If you really can't find it in you to call mom, I will send her an anonymous email on your behalf if you want, to get the ball rolling..... that is how much I know that you need this in your life.

Once you get the clarity you need, on where your deep seated issues derive from, it will help you to heal all of that anger and bitterness, and it may even stop you from having to run with some dogs to achieve sexual satisfaction, and maybe get it from your partner for once.

I live to give CC, can' t you see that

Wow!!
You are starting to sound like your old self again, DumbAss. Repetitive and all.

Welcome back man.
That near death experience had you by the short and curlies, huh ... feeling so sorry for yourself and reflecting on your personality and stuff ... becoming all emotional, like Redneck, wanting to be a better man. lol!!

I thought that you signed on here for the last time ... getting ready to bid us all a fond farewell.
I was truly worried about you.
Just a pity you came back with the same grey cell... and additional one would have been a big step up.
Look forward to many more stupid questions from you.

Still not a single peep about daddy hey CC

Oh....by the way CC, since you really like bringing up a posters family..... like you did with my wife recently and as you have with other posters here,  multiple times already...….. let me give it a go then.

I'm curious, where did your daddy actually go to, aren't you also curious?...….did you ever really find out the truth about where he disappeared to, for so long?

I mean the real truth CC, not that made up bullshit that he told you, when you were 6 years old.

Have you ever sat down and had that one on one chat with daddy, to get down to what really happened...…..about why he walked away from his young son.

Did he spin you some story about how he fell out of love with his whole family and decided to move on to someone else, that he could actually give love to?

I am truly worried about you CC, you have serious issues.....anyone who needs to run with their dogs to achieve an orgasm, has some very serious complications in life, and it may just stem from way back, when you were..... errrrrr…... 6 years old...… one never knows hey.

I just hope that you have at least received the love that you so crave, and missed, later on in life, now that you are 56 years old

If not, then give me your email address and I will send you an anonymous email, spreading the love, to make you feel all warm and fuzzy, for once in your very sad life.

Two can play this game.... my little boy
