The Foxsport Fantasy comp has changed quite a bit from last year.

It's now called "Supercoach" and the URL is http://rugbysupercoach.foxsports.com.au

I tried to log in with the name I used for Foxsport Fantasy last year and I couldn't, I had to re-register. It only takes a few minutes.

I created a league called Ruckers Forum and the league code is 779772.

If you enjoyed this competition last year or if you want to play a very well run Fantasy competition then please register and join the Ruckers Forum league. It's all free and there are prizes by the looks of things although I'm not sure if non-Aussies will be eligible to win anything.

Be warned, it's a very tight budget!

 Thanks Rooinek
I joined the site and league and registered a team.   Player prices are a major concern and I had to pick cheaper players and leave out more expensive ones to get a squad in.
The format is substantially changed and I beieve a bit more problematic.
Is there no head-head league anymore?

Hey people, one of the things they've changed is that now there are Leagues and Groups. The Leagues are Head to Head leagues, they are limited to 14 players and begin in Round 3. Once you are in a league you have the option of joining a Group (what last year was the main competition based on total scores).
According to the new rules you can:

  • Create or join up to TEN public or private mini-leagues of 14, invite and play against friends, colleagues and/or relatives;
  • You'll play 'head-to-head' between rounds 3-15 and receive 4 points for a win in your league (or 2 points for a draw). The league head-to-head finals follow during rounds 16-18, with the major finals series for the Top 6 and minor finals series for 7th-12th;
  • You can setup or join up to TEN Private Groups (in addition to your head-to-head leagues) where you can play against an unlimited number of participants, based on total score.

What Rooi created was a League so I created a group in order to play the Total-score competition which is the most important IMO and where there's no limit to the number of players so everybody can play. The name of the group is also Ruckers Forum and if I've well understood the way to join it is going to the next link:

Thanks ABasque, I've joined the Ruckers Forum Group. I agree it's the more prestigious comp, I didn't know there was difference between a League and a Group.
Goo d luck!

yeah, it's something new but instead of improving they have made the stuff more complicated.

I'm going to keep this thread up there for some time coz going to the above link is the only way to enter the Group

 mike,
if you are Helgard and your team is Ruck ers Forum, yes, you are in.

You could check it yourself entering into "Leagues" in the main menu on the left and then in the upper side you'll find 4 different tabs:
Leagues, Groups, Rivalries, Social.
going to Groups -->Ruckers Forum, you reach our Group's ladder

I was struggling to keep the squad I selected within the budget and came up with the following - with virtually no money left:-
PR   -   James Slipper,  Coenie Oosthuizen                    Bench  -  Maks van DykHO  -   Steven Moore                                                Bench  -  Torsten van JaarsveldLO  -     Eben Etzebeth, Pieter-Steph du Toit
Bench  -  Nico van RensburghBR   -    Jaco Kriel, Michael Hooper, Lappies Labuschagne               Bench  -  P McLutcheonSH  -    Cobus Reinach              Bench -   FAF de Klerk FH  -    Handre Pollard              Bench  -  Willie du PlessisCE  -    Damian de Allende,  M Fekitoa              Bench  -  J du PlessisBR  -    N Nadolo, F Halai, James O'Connor              Bench  -  S Thompson
I am fairly happy with the above squad - but not entirely happy with the bench players - had to select only cheap players for the ebnch and it can ultimately spell trouble for me.
Any NZ flyhalf is not affordable and the same applies to the loosies.   Folau is also beyond the budget limit.
My team for the Superbru Fantasy selections - where cost is not a limiting factor - may look slightly different.   However, my team for the Foxsport competition may only change depending on selections to be annnounced.

Ou Maaik, what is your Foxsport team name because I don't see your team in the Ruckers Forum League or the Group.

 mike,
Feikitoa doesn't play in the 1st round (Highlanders have a bye) nor Nadolo (he will be playing in Japan till round 3 or 5, like last season).
Otherwise , a nice team. Good luck.

I would suggest you to buy I. Folau. He's a must-have. Last year around 80% of the players had him and though he's the most expensive player this season, I suppose that a similar percentage will have him. This means that if he gets big points (which could be very usual taking into account that he was the top scorer last year) you are lost because almost everybody will have him (besides many of them as captain). It's very risky not to have him.
And if he fails and gets few points nothing happens for the same reason, almost everybody will have him and will fail as you.

I was hoping to get Folau and will try again - especially in view of Fekitoa and Nadolo.   However, I am not making final selections before the teams are known.   There should somewhere be a cheap center I could use as a starter and put Fekitoa on the bench.   Have to wait until the team announcements though.

you can change your team's name whenever you want.
Being in the Home page you'll see under the clock and the scoreboard, on the right side, the simbols of facebook, twitter,..... and a wheel (settings), click it -->My Account and you can change your team's name

by the way, what the hell means Psyche out?

Nice squad - but I prefer Fekitoa to  Fruean - has him on the bench for the first round and will bring  him in when required.
Why don't you join the Superbru competition as well?  Not much different from Foxsport, bar the fact that Superbru does not have a cost limitation factor and it makes it easier to select a squad of top players.
