 I did pretty good. Bad captain choice. Picking Folau as captain though. Pretty solid start all round. Prob finalise scores next 4 hours.

I was put off Folau when I saw they were playing him at centre. I'll only consider him when he's at fullback.

The converse is also true. I'll always look for centres who are selected as outside backs. Seta Tamanivalu is a good example and even though Rohan Janse van Rensburg was selected at centre, he pretty much ended up playing wing and his scores are better for it.

The FR scoring puts a premium on ball carrying which makes wingers more valuable than centres.

Anyone know if Tamanivalu is out for any length of t ime with that knock he picked up?

I went Reki Ioane at centre. 72 so payed off. Usually picking a wing who is categorised at centre. Is a good idea. I went Reece Robinson. He's cheap. And he's taking the goal kicking opportunities.

I also had Reece Robinson. I drafted him in at the last minute when I found out Cory Jane wasn't playing. Not sure if he'll keep the kicking duties for much longer when Foley returns from concussion?

The Ioane's and the Saveas are exceptions to any rule. All 4 are FR scoring machines in any position although Akira Ioane didn't score that well this week.

 I made a total hash with my selections and there was a mysterious change as well.   ended up with McKenzie as Vice-captain and got him as captain - bad choice.   I was flummoxed by the late announcement of SA teams as well and that did not work out either.   Too many positions where I had no players -eg loosies.   

Tamivulu is being monitored. It's likely he may miss the Landers match this week though.

Now that the rounds are closed we can also finally see each others teams.

 I cant seem to make any trades ,I select the player to trade but no list of eligible players comes up .

Wardad, bit odd. It's working for me. Check your filters to see if you're maybe selling a prop but your filter says outside back (for example).

 Soon as I select a player to trade a red box saying " This is an invalid trade select another player to complete the trade  " comes up and no selections appear .I am stuffed if I dont sort it ASAP .

Cheers Rooie ,that was a massive score you put up ,wish I had seen where Folau was being played out of position .

Wardad, did you resolve your transfer issues?

There's actually no real rush to do transfers. In this comp, prices are only adjusted once every week and that happens when the scores are finalized and the round unlocks, so there's no rush to buy and sell to try and get the best deal. The prices won't change again until the next round starts so no need to do any transfer business until the teams are announced.

Just checked out the trades and I also get the red box saying "this is an invalid trade, select another player to complete the trade" but then I get the list of available players and if I choose one, the error message disappears and I can continue. I guess it's just a standard message until you select a replacement.

I do understand that in your case you weren't getting the list of available replacements but I can only guess you have quite a slow connection so my advice is just wait for a few minutes, the list will eventually appear.
