 Wesley Fofana's injury is a huge blow for the french,... but a considerable improvement is expected from this team,... this last November tests they showed a glimpse of the lost traditional French game with a forward pack able to consolidate the base for delivering quality balls to a very dinamic backline

Yes, they will definitely miss Fofana. A bit surprised they didn't pick Fatty Basteraud to replace him. I know he's about the size of Peter Fatiolofa these days but he's still effective. I guess it would have meant too much of a change in the game plan.

Hope Picamoles is fit for France's sake.

France have suffered another setback after it was confirmed that loosehead prop Eddy Ben Arous has been ruled out of their squad.

The 26-year-old Racing 92 forward, who has 14 international appearances to his name, is replaced by Toulon prop Xavier Chiocci in the group.

Meanwhile, after only being called in for Wesley Fofana on Sunday, Henry Chavancy has been replaced in the squad by Mathieu Bastareaud .

France, who finished in fifth position in 2016, kick-off their Six Nations campaign against England at Twickenham on Saturday, February 4.
