I do not think that Jesse Kriel and Kolisi will make the starting line-up and that the two players who will be are Mapoe at center and Louw as a loosie at 7.   I think Kitshoff will be on the bench and Beast will start.   I also think that Pietersen is likely to be the other wing.  Jantjies is unlikely to be recovered from injury before the last test in June and Lambie will start - but am not sure who will be the replacement flyhalf.  Serfontein may be on the bench.

No Dave ... that's by a long shot not the best side.
Firstly ... Jesse Kriel shouldn't see any game time at all. Not if we'd like to win a test match.
Secondly, playing Mapoe out of position isn't helping the cause either. He was selected for his form at 13 ... keep him there.
Thirdly ... Kolisi should be left back in the change room. Simply a quota and no more.
Definitely not test material. Yes, I know you'll go on and on about how well he played against the Cheetahs yesterday ... it was after all only against the pathetic Cheetahs ... anyone would look good against them.
I would prefer Vermeulen to 7 with Whiteley at 8.
Also, I would advise we select the better flyhalf ... Lambie is to take up his rightful spot, which he should have had 4 years ago.
Sadly we only have the 4th, 5th, and 6th best hookers to choose from ... so Strauss gets the nod.
Doesn't matter which of the other two make the bench. They're both as average as average can be.
Pity about Snyman not making the side. He would definitely take up his spot on the bench in place of the slack jawed dimwitted Lood.
The entire Bulls front row gets selected and yet the Lions tore them a new one.
Dylan Smith should have been selected ... especially after his demolition job on Marcell.

I think all this is useless if you don't follow the quotas, the Bok coach has to follow them so it's redundant to select a side without doing so yourself.
15. Le Roux14. Combrink13. Mapoe12. De Allende11. Mvovo10. Jantjies9. Faf8. Whiteley7. Vermeulen6. Kriel5. PSDT4. Etzebeth3. Malherbe2. Strauss1. Beast
16. Redelinghuys 17. Scara 18. Nyakane 19. Lood 20. Notshe 21. Groom 22. Lambie 23. JP
I am totally against moving players from their true positions but I have made exception for Vermuelen , I'd have rathered play JP over Mvovo but neither Combrink nor JP are left wingers. Also struggled slightly with the replacement hooker and scrum half as it was a case of the best of a bad bunch. Forced to pick Lood through being the only lock left in the squad, but he needs to shift a gear because this year he just hasn't been good enough. It was a toss up to start either Beast or Nyakane, I went for experience but I do believe that Nyakane just about edges Tendai ability wise.

 A more likely team:
WillieJPMapoeAllendeMvovoJantjiesFaf
BeastStraussMalherbeEtzebethLompKolisi LouwVermeulen
We have almost reached an all 'equal opportunity' backline. The bench is obvious
Combrink to cover wing and fullback LambiePaige to complete the deal if Faf slips up
Nyakane RedlinghuisScaraStephanie Whiteley.

Don't think so Mozart.  De Jager is more of a number 4 than no 5 lock and Du Toit is too good in performance to be left on the bench.   I also have a problem with your pick on  the wing.   Pietersen shows flashes of good play - but he is very pedestrian most of the time.  And Kolisi at 6 ahead of Kriel is not on either.  I think that the loosies will be Kriel, Vermeulen and Louw - with Whiteley on the bench.

That's not my team, nor is it Coetzee's team....it is the team the system appears to be demanding.

Coetzee will have to do a delicate balancing act or he will sooner rather than later be in serious trouble.

The Boks have a decent squad & most posters were pleasantly surprised and pretty positive. There's enough to be positive about IMO & the fact that you are playing Ireland first should help.

What I would like to see

15. Willie (Still the man to beat in the 15 jersey, although I think Gelant deserves a go when available)
14. Combrinck (after such a fantastic season, and last, he is deserving)13. Mapoe (Again, he's earnt the start based on perfomances)
12. Serfontein (I actually think De Allende has the higher ceiling but he's looked less than impressive since his return from injury, Serfontein has looked solid and returning to some form)
11. JP (yes, I know he isn't a lw but i really don't rate Mvovo, plus JP will provide some much needed experience to a very inexperienced back line)
10. Janjties (the form super rugby 10, completely deserves the start)
9. Faf (Janjties partner in crime, will be good to keep some familiarity and chemistry)
8. Duane (Thor, need I say more)
7. Louw (No real 7 in the squad but Louw had a fantastic WC and deserves the chance to show he should still be a springbok)
6. Kriel (ABOUT TIME!)
5. PSDT (Toss up between him and lood but playing with Eben all season gives him the nod)4. Eben (our best second rower/player)
3. Malherbe (solid, let him build on a decent test start)2. Strauss (no real alternative seeing as Marx/Bizzy/vdm left out)
1. Kitshoff (Based off last season, would be equally happy to see Nyakane and Beast)

It will be exciting to see what we get for sure.

In terms of Captain, they will have to pick a player who is an automatic selection & who had leadership qualities. Here's an article on the subject
Link to article

Beast or Stauss would be my bet. Whiteley is fantastic but is he an automatic selection, we don't know AC's peferences for his style of play for his loosies so for me it is not clear that he is an automatic selection. He could go for Etzabeth, he would certainly set to tone of toughness of old but can he be disciplined & keep a cool head ?

Coetzee has a tough job for these three test. He will want to win his 1st game as Springboks coach so I don't see him experimenting too much but he would like to show he is taking transformation seriously. He won't go for 50% straight away but at least a higher % from last year. Maybe if we win the 1st one he will gradually choose a more experimental team. I struggle to see him including players with zero caps in the starting lineup. I would wager the team for the 1st game looking something like this:
15. Le Roux14. JP13. Mapoe12. De Allende11. Mvovo10. Lambie (Jantjies if he is ready, lambie to bench)9. Faf8. Vermeulen7. Louw6. Kolisi5. PSDT4. Etzebeth3. Malherbe2. Strauss (c)1. Beast
16. Redelinghuys 17. Scara 18. Nyakane 19. Lood 20. Kriel 21. Paige 22. April 23. Combrink
THis will look a lot better with Jantjies back.
