I'm with you on Armand van der Merwe, Plum. His performance last weekend was nothing short of amazing! Let's see if he can repeat . . . but I suspect he'll be joining the likes of Cheslin Kolbe and Juan de Jong in the ranks of players deemed too small by the size-obsessed Heyneke Meyer.

With all due respecxt - Francois Steyn ibn the backline is about as certain a way to sabotage any backline.  He has very near to ero ball sense and kicks when he has to pass - and his kicks out of hand is largely inaccurate and harmful.   Even worse than Mornetjie and that takes some doing.
GHis performance at fkyhalf was for the Sharks a disaster - since it meant 10 man rugby - bothing more.  A player unable to break lines and unable to reate space for players outside of him - and the worst fkyhalf defender of them all in Super 15 - and youhave a real picture of the present Francois Steyn.  Huge reputation - but seriously defective at present.
