Goosen needs to be wrapped in cotton wool - even when he is not playing rugby. ...
They need to get him ones of those Hannibal Lector travelling devices

Shame ... and to think he's still regarded by some on this board as our best 10 and a must for the world cup.
Makes me think of "Mr Glass" in the movie "Unbreakable" ... he's got a purpose ... it's just not rugby or any other type of contact sport.

Don't make fun of Johan Goosen...life is full of odd things that can happen. Not really funny.
His injuries have been unfortunate...rather sad really because he is one of our highly talented players.
American General Patton, lead armoured division successfully in invasion of Normandy, Lorraine Campaign and Battle of the Bulge in WW11...but after going through all these bloody battles, in 1945 went on a pheasant hunting invite with friends...on his way the car he was travelling in met with a freak relatively minor accident...he was killed...others escaped minor injury.

I was hoping no one would see this areticle and of course jump to all sorts of conclusions about Goosen again.
As Seb said these can happen and have happened.

When Goosen can prove himself good enough for either 15 or 10 then we can take his injuries into consideration, but until then, it's not a factor. Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if he has some kind of muscle imbalance from inadequate training .

I don't know that, as I quite clearly stated. I said I wouldn't be surprised if it was. Reading comprehension Michael, it makes all the difference. Now, when a player suffers strings of very strange injuries such as these it could very well be symptomatic of a muscular imbalance. A common one is to train a certain muscle group without training it's antagonistic counter-part too. An example would be training the anterior deltoids (bench press, shoulder press etc) but not the posterior deltoids (rows, deadlifts, all pulling motions - particularly wide grip) effectively which would pull the shoulder girdle forward and cause a myriad of pains and problems that can span the entire upper back, even your upper arm and neck. Pretorius had a similar problem (recall his injury whilst sitting down), as well as Chavangha. Seeing as he is conscious of the need to 'bulk up', it's certainly something to consider Michael.
But of course, if you have a better explanation then please provide it. I created an opportunity for a discussion. N othing more, nothing less.

We jhere have a very brief report about a player having a freak injury when getting off from a bus. We do not know the circumstances at all. So what comments can we offer here - zero.
So why any comments on issue we have a brief newspaper report without details being provided?
However, thisis mannah from heaven for the members of this site - who invents injuries during games to paint a picture of the guy. Mozart for instance after every Super 15 game in 2014 - wrote a report on a non-existent injury to Goosen until I asked him whether he really wishes to see the player injured.
Now lets get back to this one - nobody knows how the injury occurred - was the injury due to Goosen or other circumstances?
Until we have details - the Goosen detractors on this site can rejoice to the injury to the full.

Did I rejoice? If noone can make a comment, then what do you think you are doing ? You are a treasure trove of cerebral anomalies Michael. Your wild thoughts are like a person at a firing range with a bazooka, standing inches from the target. After several hours of firing, we find you have hit everything but the target.

He should try macrame although a nasty rope burn may well do him in so knitting ? Nah it involves more needles and lord knows those may well finish him off all together ! Origami perhaps ? But I suppose a narsty paper paper cut could result in the need for blood transfusions hmm.....looks like nothing sharper than a blancmange and maybe keep him away from the missus as the excitement may well see his wee ticker tap out .....

Ou Maaikie getting all high and mighty about something being made of nothing. The same guy who saw a picture of Morne Steyn with a bunch if soccer players and immediately started a thread about Morne's imminent move to PSG. When his balls up was exposed he still tried to make something of it. LOL.

No way do I want to picture Mikey with his balls ...up....exposed !!! eeeewwww!!!
