As far as I can tell, all the wars the US have saved against the Middle East during the last 15 years have been done in the name of fighting terror and keeping the West safe.
But hasn't the exact opposite of that happened?
I don't know is enough about it to be sure but my gut feeling is that had there been no war in Iraq, Afghanistan or Libya to go with the multitude of meddling in middle Eastern affairs, the West and indeed the world would probably be a safer place right now?
Close to half a million Iraqis were killed in Gulf War part 2: Bush Returns. Most of those being civilians. Ultimately a lot of US soldiers also lost their lives. Of which very many were guys who joined the army because they didn't have too many other options.
How many Americans or Europeans were killed at home by terrorists, relatively few by comparison. Not that I am belittling any innocent loss of life.
But those that were killed at home were, were often the victim of terrorists who lived in the country under refugee status.
So my question. Howcome everybody hates Trump's closed borders so much when it seems logical that it'd be the best way to save American lives on American soil. Much more logical than starting a war with people who had nothing do with terror attacks against the US on 9/11.
If we say that it is counterproductive and will only serve to antagonise potential extremists and thus create an even more dangerous situation then I have to ask: How does this closed borders antagonism stack up against the antagonism of the last 15 years worth of war? A protracted war that has evolved through different stages and into different territories with still no end in sight and having given rise to the likes of ISIS and many other attrocities.
If I were a Muslim like and lived somewhere in North Africa or the Middle East I'd be much more p1ssed about all of the above then about not being allowed asylum in the US.
Can somebody put me straight here because it looks to me like everybody is hating on Trump for dribbling in the bucket when it's his predecessors that p1ssed it full.
I'd appreciate some advice on how to think about this.

Suffice it to say the American public supports trump's sound common sense approach to the immigration issue. USA will not make the planned "mistake" of Europe. What I despise is these kbbs criticising trump on immigration. They would be squealing blue murders if their borders were abolished. Total hypocrisy and JW has been found seriously wanting!!Ex The Washinton Examiner:

The majority of U.S. voters support President Trump's campaign promise to temporarily suspend immigration from Middle Eastern and north African countries, and also suspend the intake of refugees until better vetting policies can be implemented, according to a Rasmussen Reports survey released Monday.

The Jan. 25-26 poll found 57 percent of likely voters approve of Trump's vow, which he announced in an executive order on Friday.

These numbers are probably low due to fake polling but will certainly increase with time.

I never condone war or violence in any form or from anywhere.
But unfortunately, war and violence is part of life on this planet.
Humans are the most destructive force without a doubt.
The bottom line is that Islam is and always have had this fanatical view that their religion is the only one for all people.
They moved to western countries where the culture, customs and general way of life is vastly different to theirs and for the most part do not assimilate into the adopted countries general population.
Parts of France, Belgium, and Europe have changed dramatically both in security, the standard of life, culture, and productivity now many cities in Europe resemble Middle Eastern towns.
Basically, my question is why would you go to the West when you can move to any of 40 Islamic countries who hold the same religious beliefs, dialect, weather and family ties that you are accustomed to.
Christians are persecuted daily in these countries without any help from the Western civilization who are doing a complete 180 and accepting these Islamic people into their midst.
Western folks have to wake up and smell the coffee or pay the price in the long run.
I have worked in the Middle East including Iran, Libya, Tunisia, Egypt and Iraq and I am convinced that these people are without equal when it comes to barbaric behavior to their fellow man.

Oh and under Obama Mexican immigrant numbers fell by 80% after he stabilised the US economy .Better to have jobs in 3rd world countries that the US workers neither want or need rather than drag your folks down to third world levels.

The Mexicans have a terrific work ethic. And they are enjoyable fun loving people. But there are only so many of these people that the US economy can absorb, without dropping existing residents off the other end of the line. With structural unemployment of up to 40 percent in some inner cities something has to be done.

Cloudy..........  regarding explanation, you earned the scorn, you and your country for what u guys are doing at the UN regarding Israel.    Your anti-Donald garbage etc.    Now regarding those camel jockeys.......they are brutal. They have no respect for their own kind and are low down human waste. Go there and see for yourself.
You must realize that the average young American is not interested in performing menial work. They all want to get cushy high paying jobs with all the perks with no sweat equity.
They are bombarded with adverts on social media etc showing entertainers, sportsmen/women earning millions of dollars for a few weeks of work a year and driving around in flashy cars, boats, and snorting coke. That is the lifestyle they believe they deserve plus have the right to live.
Those poor guys in the field are contracted Mexican farm workers living like animals mostly working for below min. wages for legally settle Mexican farmers.
The wine industry in the USA would not exist if not for these farm workers. Yes, Donald does also have these workers on his vineyards but the difference is he pays them the legal wage and they have good accommodation and food that they don't even get back home in Mexico.
Regarding getting those USA layabouts to work is virtually impossible while they are given free food vouchers with which they can purchase alcohol and Lobsters.
I have no issue with legal immigration but in closing, I must mention that I find it strange that all these Middle Eastern folks wish to move to Western countries when there are 40 or so Islamic countries that they could settle in without any issues like culture, religion, climate, language for a start.
Perhaps it is because the husbands wish the spouses to have equal rights and also be allowed to drive....what do u think?

Many of the young chaps from the inner cities work for 3 months or so after which they are eligible for unemployment and then stop. The chaps who own landscaping firms, many of whom are Mexican immigrants are wary of this phenomenon, complicating employment options. It's not as obvious as the media portrays.

One only has to look at some current towns in the UK to see what muslim people have done, and it's for the worse.

In some towns, british born people cannot even walk around without having to adhere to some form of the implemented sharia law.

As AJ said, why are these Islamic individuals so dead set on moving to a western country when they have far more other countries to go to that would have hardly any impact on their day to day lives.

They are slowly but surely taking over wherever they move to, that is a fact

Some schools in the UK don't even have English as the first language anymore

Mohammed was the most popular registered name in the UK not too long ago.

They demand to wear a burka in court, in Australia, or on the beach in France, and if denied, they scream racism, anti islam blah blah blah

Try holding hands with your wife in Jeddah

Trying giving her a quick peck on the cheek in a restaurant in Riyadh

Try have a quick cold beer anywhere in Saudi

You can't, because you have to accept the law of the land, if you want to move there, you better accept it or face jail.

But when they move to western countries, western countries have to bend the rules for them?....... and when they don't, resentment and hatred starts brewing

T hat's where all the problems start

Dammit, these typos I make on my phone.
I meant to say that the wars started by the US were meant to save US lives and keep its citizens safe. Yet it seems the exact opposite happened.
Still the question remains. Is Trump closing the borders such a bad thing? To me it's not nearly as bad as things that have been done in the past. Not only that but what he is doing seems to be somehow in line with how many on this board feel.
After Brevik(spelling) killed all those kids on that Island, I forced myself to watch his manifesto. The guy is the spawn of Satan but he was spot on about Muslim immagrants and the double standard that exists.
Pity really. If one is d1ckish enough, your point, no matter how valid, will get swept away in people's contempt for you.

Cloudy

Read this article below, especially further down in the article where they discuss the "Muslim London Patrol"

It has many very interesting facts, like London already has a white minority at 45%

Death Threats

Sharia Law

Interesting how multiple university investigations have revealed that within the next 50 years, white Britons will be the minority in Britain.

A must read

I won't paint all muslims with the same brush, but I will say that when they do move into other areas of the world, they demand that their religion be accepted, and they demand that the people there conform to their beliefs and way of life, and muslims do not respect or adhere to that country's laws or way of life, but everyone else in the world must adhere to their laws and way of life when living in these muslim countries ........ and that is bollocks.

Isn't it strange how everybody is jumping onto Tru.mp? The reasons could probably be that it was him that won and not the (highly expected, according to the polls, Hillary Clinton) and the Libtards cannot accept that. When, during the campaign, DT said that he would accept te outcome of the elections if he won, they were crapping themselves. and now?
What is DT doing compared to what Obama, the saint, did or what was already done?
1. DT wants to build a wall. Everybody is having a fit about it. Well.... surprise, surprise. There isn't much difference between the current "fence" and a wall between Mexico and the US. The current "fence" is part fence and part wall. Go check the different images on here.
2. DT has not banned Muslims from entering the US. He has temporarily suspended people from 7 countries from entering the US,  in order to put a stricter vetting process in place. The hole world are crapping themselves about it. Well.... surprise surprise again. Obama did much the same by pulling an underhanded stunt to stop Iraqis for six months. He just stopped processing visa applications for that period. Which do you prefer. Sly tactics to ban certain groups or one who comes out straight and says he want them stopped for a certain time to sort out the crap first? No one said a word.
In addition, Chester banned Chinese for 10 years in 1862. Roosevelt banned Jews after WWII and at some stage sent a whole shipload of Jewish refugees back to Europe. Roosevelt also had his so-called Anarchist Bill after McKinley was killed by the son of Polish immigrants. Harry Truman banned Communists. Jimmy Carter banned Iranians. Reagan banned HIV positive persons. No world wide outcries on any of those, were there?
On another note and not in the US. Up and until March 2009, SA citizens could travel visa free to the UK and that was suddenly stopped. Did anybody p!ss on the UK about that? No. Because there were valid reasons.
3. DT want to stop Obamacare. Obama BS'ed the Americans into accepting Obamacare. He lied in their faces to them each time he made a speech about Obamacare. He told them that they could keep their health care plan and or doctor. That turned out to be utter BS. Check this clip https://youtu.be/qpa-5JdCnmo
4. Obama turned a blind eye into gunwalking 2000+ illegal firearms into Mexico. Google "Operation Fast and Furious". That lead to these gund turning up at murder scenes on both sides of the border. One of them and ATF agent, Brian Terry.
5. Hillary Clinton should be held personally responsible for the death of ambassador Stevens and five CIA agents in Benghazi. The investigations are ongoing.
6. Under Obama, the IRS had spied on "people of interest". Search for Obama IRS political profiling or Obama IRS targeting controversy.
Those are a few examples. People need to open their eyes and stop running after the libertard MSM.
The media has a real and important and responsible role to play in society. For them to do their jobs and full-fill their roles they have a lot of privileges. Only problem is that a hell of a lot of them have been and are misusing those privileges.

Having lived in Oxford for some years i can share a story of something that i encountered there.

One of the best student areas in Oxford was Cowley. The Cowley road had great pubs, a few places to check out live music and some dinky eateries.

Generally Cowley was a good mix of local residents and students. During the 1980s when Thatcher made it possible for people to buy their council homes there was a guy call Mr Farouq who took full advantage.

What he did was to get people over from Pakistan under family visas and the like. They'd apply for council places, he help them buy the place and then buy it from them at pennies to the Pound.

The net result being that his family now owns entire streets of houses in the Cowley area.

A the time when i came to know about Farouq and is family they owned upward of three hundred houses in Cowley. They had turned all the houses into bedsets(spelling) and rented the rooms in the houses out to all types of people. Driving through Cowley one could easily see which houses belonged to the Farouq family. The gardens were overgrown with trash and old furniture out front. The houses themselves were dilapidated and horrible looking with the windows often covered with newspaper or taped up with bin bags. Pretty much exactly as one would imagine a ghetto.

Also, at this time Farouq himself was in prison for tax evasion and fraud. He got the choice of paying a fine or doing time. He chose prison and left his sons to run the business.

I'd been into many of the houses and the conditions inside where nigh on squalor. Filthy communal areas and wallpaper peeling of the walls. Often times i would see young Pakistani women with children who rented rooms there.

I always felt sorry residents who lived on a street like this but where surrounded by these horrible houses. And yes the Farouq family would make them low ball offers to buy them out.

Now, i know this is one example of a muslim family and what it has done in one area of England but in all my time there i never met an English family that had had such a negative impact on a community.

Here is an article about this gem of a guy and it details some of the charges that he went to prison for. It does talk about what i've just detailed above though.

http://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/1393811.frauds_landlord_must_repay_1_8m/

Thanks for the feedback Cloudy

My issue with muslims, and I will freely admit that it is an issue for me, is that in most areas where they have relocated themselves, it does not take long for them to implement their laws onto that community, and totally disregard that country's own laws.

This is a general trend, and not an isolated event.

Yet, they lock you up in Saudi or whip you, and retain your passport if you so much as kiss somebody in public.

They behead women for "suspicion" of adultery out on a public road.

They cut off the hands of thieves

They demand that a woman do "anything" they request, as the woman is their property

In the name of Islam, they rape, torture and mutilate teenage girls, then sell them off.

They are born in Britain, receive financial benefits from Britain, get educated in Britain, start their families and businesses in Britain...... then bomb innocent british nationals in some religious terrorist act, in the name of Islam.

Funny isn't it......, how no Imam, or Grand Imam has ever really openly spoken out about these various terrorist acts, saying that this is not Islam.

All you have to do is Google search for the s. exual grooming of young white girls in Britain.

For years and years now, it has always been either Muslim men, or Pakistani men that have created these twisted groups.

Muslims believe the koran and want to take over and implement Sharia law.Soros has said that the NWO cannot be established until Western Civilisation is destroyed. THE SECOND WORLD WAR RESULTED IN THE DEATH OF JUST OVER 60 MILLION PEOPLE. THINK OF IT 58 MILLION CHILDREN MURDERED IN ONE COUNTRY!!!!!) I am truly shocked by her ignorance and lack of understanding. What are they brain-washing the NZ population with. Answer -  globalist propaganda. Hence their ex PM using 13.9 million dollars of taxpayers money and paying it into the rotten clinton crime foundation. Hence them introducing a motion against Israel.  NZ NEEDS THE WAKE UP FAST TO THE GLOBALIST  AND THE ISLAMIC THREAT.
A war has been joined against the globalists. If it is lost we will move on into a tyrannical NWO. Globalist/illuminati/bilderbergers etc etc all round the world are mobilising but so are the people under various populist banners. The people must win this fight.
Cloudy has no idea of the teachings of the koran and their threat to non muslims.

Most of America's so-called problems are effectively a storm in a teacup which is down to the MSM. They have been involved in the cover-up of Obama's balls-ups on the one hand, while blowing up issues like racism, etc, out of proportion. The real problems have not received the attention that it should have received while the BS has been blown up to high heavens.
The US is much less divided than what many would want to believe.
DT has only been concentrating on the US, the US economy, the US people and the security of the US for ages. He has not threatened to bring about regime change in any foreign country and he has not tried to do so. As far as foreign countries and possibly regime change goes, he has only said that he would try to help solve the Syrian/Middle East issues. He has not said that he would either try to remove Asad or to keep him in power, nor has he promised and/or threatened to do so. The US involvement in Syria, under his reign so far has been part  of an ongoing program which was started under Obama.
Once again..... his so-called ban on people from the 7 Musim countries is not a ban. It is a temporary suspension, to allow the US time to set-up a proper vetting program to make sure that dangerous people do not "slip through", like has happened in Europe. Where did Angela Merkel's "open-door" policy bring her and the rest of Europe? DT has learnt from those mistakes. Maybe Europe should have stopped the bus for 90 days, or so, and set up a proper vetting program for the refugees.

We had a flat in London for 15 years, up until 2 years ago. It's a small building, as they all are on the old London squares, some ten units. Then a wealthy Kuwaiti family bought two units. When they bought the second unit on my floor I saw the writing on the wall and sold to them while prices were still unaffected. .......... When we first arrived the building was occupied by English families, there wasn't one when we left. Look out over the Square at night now and 80% of the flats are dark.....London investment property is now substantially owned by foreigners. ............... Setting aside all other considerations, is it a good thing to abandon your country like this.....mostly to people who don't respect your culture.

The country has repaid him handsomely, respected his service and recognized his sacrifices during the war.
Sure he was a POW and he served his country, but since then he has lived a political life of luxury and just what has he done other than appearing on TV and filling his pockets.
As a matter of fact, he has during his tenure as a Senator got more PORK passed for his state (Arizona) than many other Republican.

Putin was snubbed because of Russia's invasion of Crimea. Playing the long game is an option which might work but you don't play the long game with an arsehole like Putin....he is poison.

It's not a question of respect. It's reality, he is the highly popular leader of the only other nuclear super power. You can do the usual hissyfit politics, the meaningless sanctions and play brinksmanship. Or you can see if you can find common ground and work together against terrorism in particular. Tr.ump obviously wants to give that a shot. Makes sense to me, with the proviso that we have to be vilgilant. Hell we allied with Stalin in WW2. As for Nato it's been disconnected since Serbia, while the US tax payer continues to fund Germany's defence. People can't see why they are paying the bill for wealthy countries....just another thing Tr.ump sensed. Nato needs to be refocused on the issues of today. The prospect of Russian tanks rolling over Europe is beyond remote.

"So now Obama lacked human touch...."
In all seriousness, Obama has had just too many blunders and just too many sh!t went wrong on his watch to think that he did not lack human touch. A few examples:
1. He constantly lied to the public, in their faces, about his health care flop. 2. He covered up Hillary Clinton's lies about the Benghazi attack.3. He turned a blind eye to her email balls-ups.4. His political appointed AG Loretta Lynch was active in covering up Hillary Clinton's crap. She met, in HER plane, with Bill Clinton on a tarmac at an airport and they had a private conversation. Shortly afterwards the decision came not to prosecute her.5. Operation Fast and Furious happened on his watch and in Arizona, the state of the "respected John McCain.6. Obama decided to implement parts of the immigration laws and ignored the parts that he did not like.
On Fast and Furious...... Do you know about it? If that is not reason enough for DT to put up that flippin wall, then I don't know. In any case, I cannot understand the big hoohah over the damn wall. There is already a wall, of sorts. It is just not working properly. The Mexican govt have their hands in their hair about gun trafficking between the US and Mexico. Everybody seems to think that it  is about stopping the movement  of drugs only but the actual drugs is a minor part of the issue.
There is a massive war waging between the various drug lords. A large portion of their guns and ammo comes from gun running in the states. In their stupidity they tried to tackle the issue with Operation Fast and Furious. It was a massive flop and 2,000 guns were allowed to be sold to drug lords in Mexico via straw buyers and the guns were allowed to cross the border into Mexico. Of those 2,000 guns only about 300 or 400 were recovered. Those guns are still turning up in gun crimes in Mexico and the US and Operation Fast and Furious was stopped in around 2009/10.
