You CANT have matfiled 105 kg, Stegman 100 kg Arno 103 kg  in the same team and expect to dominate at forward.These are problems the bulle can and must sort.
Naas and Mallet believe Hougie should return to scrummie. Probably correct.
With Jean out and van Wyk plus not having the option to use Senatla off the bench. the Stormers backline lacks quality. But the pack is very good.

If you try and build a Tight 5 and put <Matfield in you have a Tight 5 plus a puppet.  Just think about it - Matfield is useless in any formnat of Tight 5 play - his line out takes have gone down to the stage where it is virtually non-existent.   I think he is afraid to compete in the air for balls because it will either show up how really poor he is - such as happened in the test against the All Blacks - or he is afraid of injury in competitive situations.   He con sequently he extremely  rarely calls balls to come  to himself.
His tackling stats has also gone down and even the weak tackles he makes are not to the benefit of his team.   You only have tpo look at his stats to realize how really bad he was.
I actually think the Bulls have a problem not only with Matfield, but also with their props and their number 8.   In the latter regard Botha was subbed at minute 31 - while he was on the field of play he did squat of any value - Spies came on and he was worse.   I would definitely prefer young Leibenberg at number 8.
Labuschagne was outstanding in defence and did some really good ball carries as well - while Stegman only defended and did squat for the rest.
I am sorry about Arno Botha - he sued to be tops, but from yesterday it seemed that he is afraid of further injuries to involve himself in the game.
