The following from News24:-
"Springbok lock Lood de Jager has been included in French rugby newspaper Midi Olympique’s international team of the year for 2015.

De Jager is the only South African representative in the side, which includes nine players from world champions New Zealand.

The Springboks endured a difficult 2015, finishing third in the World Cup and last in the Rugby Championship.

‘Midi Olympique’s World Team of 2015:

15 Ben Smith (New Zealand), 14 Santiago Cordero (Argentina), 13 Conrad Smith (New Zealand), 12 Ma’a Nonu (New Zealand), 11 Julian Savea (New Zealand), 10 Dan Carter (New Zealand), 9 Aaron Smith (New Zealand), 8 David Pocock (Australia), 7 Richie McCaw (New Zealand), 6 Jerome Kaino (New Zealand), 5 Lood de Jager (South Africa), 4 Brodie Retallick (New Zealand), 3 Sekope Kepu (Australia), 2 Shota Horie (Japan), 1 Marcos Ayerza (Argentina)

And the r ugby Idiot Mozart does not rate him as a player - how really dumb could he be rating Matfield as a better performer at present than De Jager?

Vastly overrated....Lomp had a poor game against Wales, a nightmare against NZ...and the Bok pack performed way better against the Bargies with MOM Matfield back as a starter.  Lomp looked good against the Eagles though. A vastly overrated flat track bully.
But say, while we are about it tell us about Stephanie's great WC.

Dr Mozzzz doesnt understand lock play. His take on wee matfiled 105 kg backline wannabee says it all. The good Dr has a blind spot unfortunately! One bright spot for the Stormers is our lock combo of Etzebeth and Du Toit. A mouth watering prospect.

That's a bold statement to make.

He can't defend out wide ... in fact he can't even defend what's right in front of him.

He lacks upper body strength and seems to be a slow thinker ... very slow to react to what's around him.

He's not a 5 lock at all and from what I can tell he seems to be earmarked for that very spot. It's Meyer madness!!

We need a specialist 5 lock. Not a retreaded 4 lock pretending he has the required skill set to play at 5 when in truth we've seen him come up short time and again ...

We all saw how the All Blacks tore our lineout apart ... a lineout that he was supposedly running.

His only strength is as a crashball runner and that against the smaller players on the field.

I think we should look elsewhere and leave him to play domestic rugby or at most super rugby.

I see poor Moffie is still smarting over Lood making his name mud.

Not to mention the usual lies about Lood.......Lood was better than his opposite number Charteris against Wales - FACT

Lood was also better than Whitelock who gained ZERO metres all game - FACT

So try again Moffie.......we all saw the article on here that proved just how fantastic Lood was in that WC

Matfield MOM in that 3rd place play off......what a joke, that was against the Argie B side you idiot and the true MOM was Malherbe that day

In my book zero meters gained, zero tries conceded making your tackles trumps 50m

and 7 points conceded.

I believe that he has a future as a Bok if he can engage his brain and become spatially aware when he is on the field. Domkrag is overrated.

He was kak in the NZ game FACT

That is not to say Matfield was better just the sun does not shine out of Loods a$$

Leadhead still has to prove himself against decent opposition. Their is no doubt that when he was calling the lineouts- Eztebeth got no ball.

HasBeen if we lost the NZ semi for any reason it was the failure of our line out. Lomp was running that lineout. We were outplayed at lock by Whitelock and Jaws.....so how you can include Lomp in a world"s best pairing, boggles the mind.

Mozart will never accept that he was talking BS all along - even when De Jager did well he was on this site getting caught out lying and now he is onto the "Mozart is right - everyone else is wrong" story.   The basis for his attacks on De Jager all along was to justify the selection of the weak and useless Matfield at lock.  Another case where the fool is making a bigger fool of himself again and again.

Lets face facts you came with a story about 16 calls - when De Jager made 5 of 11 legal calls to come to himself  - the rest went to Burger and one to Etzebeth.  What was the game plan he was instructed to execute?
In succeeding games Matfield made the calls and he never once in 2 matches called the balls to go to Etzebeth in line-outs.  When that stupid past-it made the calls mo comments from you about the issue.
But you needed a whip to hit De Jager with because he showed you up for a fool and that you know zero about lock play and came up with the idiocy you raised about this as an issue.

Rating Lood ahead of Whitelock is plain nuts!As Moz said, he stuffed up the line out calls where I think the ABs stole 4 and missed a straightforward tackle on Kaino to concede 7 points in a RWC Semi-Final. All he needed to do was bundle Kaino into touch and he couldn't even achieve that even though Kaino had very little room to move in!You can gain as many metres as you like but if you can't get your core duties right and can't tackle, what are you doing in international rugby??

The notion that Whitelock never totally outplayed Lomp is pure South African myopia. Lomp was a non factor against Wales and a big negative against the ABs....our biggest negative in fact.

Whitelock is the current day Matfield. He is the best lineout technician in the game.
For the first time in my memory, New Zealand have the best lock pairing in World Rugby. It is debatable who is better between Jaws and Eztebeth for the number 4 position. Although Eztebeth can also play number 5 lock- and is better in the lineouts than Jaws

What a bloody liar we have here  - quoting one game - when the issue of Matfield not calling line-outs to go to Etzebeth was discussed on this site in the past and it was pointed out that he in fact in three games never called line-outs to go to Etzebeth when you previously tried to lie your way out of the situation you landed yourself in.
That was conveniently forgotten about by you because it relates to something you did not want to hear about.  Problem remains that whereas Matfield was a farce in tested he played in since 2014 and De Jager was a massive improvement on him this year specifically, you are a fool to try and sail on an issue that has been discussed in detail and where you were proved conclusively that you lied about the whole story.

On another tired note...Quite impressed by Quatar Airlines and Emirates...Doha and Dubai make Johannesburg a joke...I hate cities especially huge ones but actually cultural cities like Moscow and Rome (and few European others) leave the West standing.

I read somewhere Lood had the best tackling stats? He is enormous on defenccer and drives opposition players back. Now the lunatic brigade are trying to say the gruntless whitelock is better. Bwahhahahahahahaha hilarious stuff.
Etzebeth and Lood are miles ahead of the pap nz pair. We lost the game thanks to a matfiled incident of dubious merit. Where we are falling short is in the attack department and poor startegy. There were also some poor selections and quota picks that didnt help the squad.
No Meyer insisted on playing dinosaur rugby and failed to get the balance right. He squandered his opportunities again and again when he had really good talent available. So bad was his backline coaching with quota backline coach Ricardo Loubscher also to blame that we could have had the best backline in the world and it would not function. The only slack I cut him is the quota enforcement. The contrast between him and Eddie Jones was evident for all to see.
Dispite all this we should have beaten nz as everyone knows or should know - we were inherently the better players of course. So the wee abs have burgalled yet another RWC and their down under mates oz also got in via the back door thank to our Craig Joubert - shame rained down on us yet again thanks to Craig.
When will we next have an honest RWC contest not decided by refs favouring nz and OZ?  Two burgalled RWC by NZ and counting!!! Something has to be done. Surely the pattern is now so well established that even the blind can see it.
Was nz's first RWC fairly won I wonder. Boks werent playing so that put a dent in any boasting rights for sure. One could argue nz have never really won a RWC fair and square. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Beeno bursting some very over inflated kbbs egoes!
Lets get in a decent coach - kick quotas into touch and go and flatten some down under orcs!

Bok locks found wanting when it mattered most mate and you must just be cringing with that fact!I trust the ABs keep churning away in your gut for a few more years yet.....They've been making a mess of your team for 94 years..........and counting!!

 Mozart asked:

"Moscow better than NY and London? "

Ofcourse it is...far more interesting although I haven't been to those sc u m ponds for 2 decades but I'm sure they have not improved since.

St Basils...Red Square is beautiful...paved with cobblestones of history going back to many centuries...one is taken back over 500/600 years and you wonder how many famous armies and feet trod there...it sort of casts a spell of awe on you and really the Russians are super and nice...not these dour aggressive characters that USA movies try to project. Friendly and helpful but reserved...the Russian personality opens up when you are genuine...I must say I love these people...they are super intelligent when compared to us...more graduates...my wife's best friend works in a Baby's Requisite Shop with a PHD...jobs for intelligent are not good for the over qualified unless they are high tech or business/financial services...a sort of reverse to the socialistic systems...even medical doctors receive modest pay but then you have the super rich which are probably the richest in the world...most of them are not the nicest people and tough, unfeeling and hard but even amongst some of them you get good solid people...just exceptionally clever...

A forgotten gem visit but it's best with people you know who are Russian...a lovely country to visit...there is just too much to see...a tourists paradise provided you have the right contacts.

American actor, Robert Di Niro loves Moscow...starting visiting there in 1987 and stayed at the Ukraina Hotel (A Stalin built hotel over looking the Moscow River and White House)...now it's a 5 star Radisson...I stayed a few times there before it became unaffordable

I have been to London a number of times and find it interesting the city as become a real problem area and is not matching cities like St Petersburg, Moscow and Vienna from a cultural point of view.   The people of Russia has been very friendly and helpful during the trying times they suffered when I went there shortly after the collapse of the Communist regime .
I have never been to New York - but have no real interest in what that city can offer.

It's nice that Ol' Mike recognises a good thing...Russia is a lovely country to visit...my uncle and aunt went on a tour there and are globe trotters with a bit of tin and were very impressed.

It requires planning...Russians are different people...they are not naive like westerners but distrust us...they hate insincerity and bullshite but warm to you if you genuine...a huge contrast to our western form of socialising.

They are not naive but test your friendship strongly but once they trust you they will defend and die for you. Genuine friendship is strong with them and contrary to what westerners have been led to believe are sincere and reliable.

My wife is the most reliable and hard working woman I've ever met...she shames me...she never lords anything over me and trusts me with all my weaknesses and faults...she is a beautiful woman that turns heads and we have been married for 16 years...she has never lied to me or belittled me but has strongly opposed me when I'm wrong...I trust her judgement and when she is wrong she comes to me and apologises...the sad thing I met her too late in life...I had been married before...she was 39 when I met her but looked like 25...she is turning 55 soon and still...looks like a very attractive woman of early 40's...but really that's not the real point...she's my best friend and lover...it's like some sort of heavenly gift that I certainly don't deserve but I receive it from my God.

Sorry Lood...still high praise to you...afterall this noble post is a tribute to you but we have digressed but still it's an interesting diversion.

All the best for 2016 season of rugby and I believe you will shoot your critics down!

Actually for way longer than 23 years....for example the last series before isolation was won by NZ. So we are talking 34 years at a minimum. But this is the usual RooiAAS confused thinking.
The Boks won the only away series before WW2, which gave them a clear edge before that time.
In the two periods since, the Boks won 16 games to 11 by my quick count, from WW2 till isolation. But post isolation they won 15 games and lost 37. So in aggregate since WW2, the ABs have won 48 games to 31 for the Boks...seen from that vantage point, it's 70 years of AB dominance. Or at a minimum the AB dominance was clearly much more decisive than the Bok edge.
But what of the period before isolation where the Boks supposedly had an edge? Twenty seven  tests were played, of which 16 were played in South Africa and only 11 in NZ.....which corresponds exactly to the 16 to 11 match winning edge for the Boks. So parity is perhaps a better description of the post war/pre isolation period.

In all its hard to argue against 70 years of NZ primacy. Thirty four years is a given.
