Quote the 2013 stats - nobody believes your statements as factual.
So lets go back to the original question -
Is the performances of De Allende in Super Rugby in 2018 better than it was in 2016 and 2017?
Then another question - list the tests  he played in where he flopped?

Listen dim bugger you said De Allende Implodes in tests and I merely asked which tests he imploded in,    t seems to  me you are too cowardly to produce the
actual information on which you based your statement - so one must accept it is one of your standard lies - and there are many others as well.   How can a slow center makes as many line breaks and beat as many tackles as De Allende is credited with,

However, your observations about players being slow or fast is totally  on BS based on single incidents which you often enough falsified.

However, what is amazing is that all the BS you write on this site applies only to youret hate players.   Fat Fransie Steyn by far the slowest center in any team he played for - is supported by you all out.   Why is he better than De Allende?

No you said above he was ordinary in 2015....but I found a post from 2015 where you were praising his 2015 performance to high heaven. You lied...and now you are trying to divert and obfuscate by introducing irrelevant facts. You lied....case closed.

You got caught out by your own stupid statements and I asked for substantiation of those.  You could not substantiate your BS and suddenly I am the topic for discussion - you are idiotic - the discussion is about De Allende not me.   If you cannot sunstantiate what you said - why did you sy it prejudiced fool?

Mozart

If there ever was a twister on site it is you.  You turned this thread into a personal attack and refuse to provide answers directly relating to the topic.  The reason is obvious - you made venomous attacks on De Allende it turned out that you are unable to proof those allegations and  that prove you are a liar,

No personal attack, just the exposure of a blatant lie. And hilariously you thought I was quoting an article when it was obvious from the text I was quoting you. But keep wriggling on the hook, nothing more enjoyable than an arrogant prat unable to take defeat.

Liewe donder!!!

Allende and Kriel together...again???

We've already seen that movie. It was kak. Very kak.

Luckily for us I saw Rassie queueing at the cinema too and I doubt he'll be back for a re-run of Nightmare on Bunk Street.

We have other guys that out pace, out pass, out tackle and out think these two knuckleheads. I say give them a shot and force others to win the jersey off them.

If anything both Allende and Kriel have been given more of a fair shake than anyone else, yet came up empty.

Kriel suffers from golden boy syndrome and needs to be shown that he's very replaceable...because he IS.

Jantjies put Willemse in his place on Saturday but Mike has been entirely hush in that regard.

In a year or two Dups & Willemse and will likely overtake Jantjies, but for now he remains the only SA 10 able to dominate the best SR can chuck at him. Nobody else can say that, or has been able to say that for a very very long time. What if he yet again guides the Lions to a semi or final this year?

All I know is that if Pollard, Willemse or Du Preez managed just one final the opinion of them would be vastly different to that of Jantjies(who has done it twice and been easily the best for four years now).

Cois has joined the Bok coaching staff and this tells me that a) Jantjies will start and b) we might see a Lions heavy Bok team run out in Washington and then also against England.

Marx, Wilco and Kitshoff. All young, and given some time together would probably be the world's premier front row.

Eben and Mostert. No brainer really.

So many loosies to choose from but Roelof Smit has impressed me lately.

Still fancy Kwagga in midfield and Combrink at 15.

Faf is the X factor player the Boks have missed since forever and one is willing to overlook the occasional wayward pass in exchange for the plethora of other positives he brings. And he brings lots of them.

Did anyone else notice how Ross Cronje's absence against the Stormers saw the Lions actually improve?

I see Goosen is playing for the Cheetahs. Could he be the utility player from the bench that the Boks need? Probably a long shot and if Combrink doesn't start I think he'll likely take that role.

Haha Goosen knocked on in his own in goal area against Munster tonight. Guy is a face-palm machine!

Plum

I watched  the game and the answer was simple - Jantjies himself was in no respect better than Willemse.   Take for instance the ball carries and here I use the statistical data on the match to confirm my own observations:-

Jantjies

Ball  Carries               8

Meters gained            45

Line breaks                 2

Defenders beaten        1

Tries scored                0

Willemse

Ball  Carries               15

Meters gained             92

Line breaks                 2

Defenders beaten        11

Tries scored                1

In a team that was superior in virtually all aspects of the game the role of Janhies seems to be superior - but he was not, as confirmed by the above data.

Maybe I am biased - but Jantjies has all along being unable to take the step up playing test rugby and under pressure he actually fails.

I am sure by now Erasmus have been studied Jantjies performances for both the Lions and he Springboks and evaluated it on a scientific basis and one has to wait and see how he has found the real value of Jantjies to the team.
I don't think on that basis Jantjies will make the grade and we will see how Erasmus see his future in the Springbok jersey.   The chances of Jantjies making the Springbok team again is in my mind near to zero,
Talking about Goosen - I would not be surprised if Erasmus asked the Cheetahs to give Goosen  a game - since the guy has not played any rugby for nearly 15 months.   He obviously was  not matchfit and a bit green - but looking at his performance  as a whole he was capable to read the game and pass the ball and kicks accurately and on the whole despite being constantly under pressure.   However, I do not see Goosen in the mix at present - but would not rule him out completely in future.
Your observations on Cronje is interesting.   I have my own reservations about him - he would probably make the team initially - but he would be on very thin ice and will be phased out before next year,
As to Moastert - I do not think he would make the lock selection.    The three locks is likely to come from Etzebeth, De Jager and Du Toit .  I think that is why Rassie asked the coaches to try him out at 7  (he did the same with Du Toit).   Problem is Du Toit passed the test - Mostert dfid not really show much.,    However, I do not see them at 7 - since Du Preez is the one that is outstanding in that position.   Since Whiteley is injury prone  recently - he may not end up at 8 and in such a case Du Toit may end up  being at 7.

Mike I can't see the point of bringing Cois into the Bok setup and then starting with one or two Lions players.

There's a reason Rassie drafted him in and I think it's because he might want to do what we suggested Coetzee should do...IE transplant the Lions dressing room "brotherhood" and game plan into the Boks.

My feeling is that if that is the case we might even see a few extra Lions selectoons that'll surprise us.

I do not think that is likely to happen -  the Lions did not exactly cover themselves with glory  in recent matches - bar the game against the sub-par Stormers - and some players may end up being a liability  - and that is why I think some of the Lions players are toast.

Swys is a brilliant back line coach. He transformed the Lions attack and I think it could well define how the Boks play this season. They just need to stay away from dud centers like Kriel and De Allende.

It's a good move from Rassie.

It makes logical sense to select a lot more players from the best team in the country.

Mike ... we know you are desperate to get your useless center pair into the mix. Hopefully that won't happen. Taking one center from a bottom logger like the Bulls and the other from another team that's embarrassed us so much this season would be stupid.

The Lions are still on top of the log the last I checked, Mike ... and that included cleaning up your favourites, the Stormers.

That's glory enough for me, thank you.

You seem to miss a lot of what actually happens on the rugby field, Mike. One would think you'd at least be a little more clued up with all the matches you claim to have watched. Could it be that you need a new pair of spectacles?

Plum ... I love your idea of Combrinck at 15. He's a natural under the high ball, has lot's of pace, is difficult to bring down and I can only imagine what kind of damage he can do if given more space.

I'm totally sold on him at 15.

I think I see enough of games and can make a logical assessment.  Unlike you with your scrummie mix-up claiming Van Zyl played in the Bulls matches before the game last week - I seem to know what is happening.

Indeed CC

Combrink has both skill AND a rugby brain. A massive boot as well.

For me, too many of the potential 15s for Bok call up are not thinking players.

Combrink matches Galant, Willie and Coetzee for skill but seems to hugely outpace them in the brains department.

Bloody injuries though man!
