While Coetzee' s squads are good I don't understand the exclusion of one of the finds of the season in Kirsten especially considering the Bok squad has no true blindside in it. If not the Bok squad how then did he miss the A squad? Really strange call.
Others who should have made it are Ulengo, Rohan Janse v Rensburg, Esterhuizen, JL du Plessis, Maks v Dyk, Akers, Jason Jenkins, Lewies, Labs, Arno Botha, Dan du Preez and Liebenberg....not to mention French based Willemse, Jacques du Plessis and Goosen

Kirsten was not selected because he was very average in most games - is slow and very average n most games he played in.

Not ignorance Dave - Kirsten had just about one good game - the rest was very average _ and he is no loosie, more  lock than a loosie - slow and clumsy.   He had a comparatively small tackle count in the games he played in and was never guilty of ball prot ection and recovery.

Any way you look at it, he's still way better than Kolisi.

Sure  he is.  But then we know the mechanics attached to Springbok selection.

 Sure is a frustrating aspect.
I may have been a little too much on a high after last nights ravaging ... and a few too many beers may also have been responsible for my false sense of hope regarding the country's rugby future.
Bottom line is is that the best players in the country were not selected ... and they were not selected because of their race.
That is unacceptable and by supporting the team I'm condoning this kind of behaviour.
There is no sense of fair play within our borders.
I withdraw my support of this racist team and it's quota coach.

I'm sure you're having the time of your life ... laughing at us and the stupidity this country's so prone to.
It certainly would be a hoot if these quotas beat the mighty All Blacks.
Then I too will be joining in the laughter ...

Dave - not ignorant - merely realistic.  He was better than Burger - but not much better,   His tackle count for a loosie was consistently low and he averaged 8 tackles per match played - in twelve games he scored 1 try - but lost possession 6 times and gave away 7 penalties.   He ran with the ball 61 times with an average meter gain of less than 2 meters per carry.  That shows a more active player than Alberts - but from most perspectives not good enough  to be regarded as a test loosie.   A  loosie like Labuschagne average 11 tackles per game and whereas Kirsten has no real involvement in ball protection and recovery Labuschagne is there in virtually every breakdown situation.   Kirsten is more of a lock than a loosie.

He was useless in defense wider out - got to breakdown points slower than the locks and he cannot pass balls - a typical Bulls crashballer - and not very effective at that either.  Ball protection and recovery is a function of loosies and he is totally incapable of doing that.
