Man oh man he is something else He scores tries from impossible positions The step was a classic of his but the hand off of the impressive Cowan Dickie was the real eye opener He punches way above his weight and credit to him for building up the muscle and bulk that he has. It’s literally served him well and made him into the worlds most lethal striker

Dickie never really got much of a grip on him, but good try. Am's offload to Willie was impecable, Reinach played his part. Good communication with Willie, directing the movement, and helping to hold the defence, being a threat on the inside. Was enough to get Kolbe through. Cutting across the field to tackle a speester is almost a lost cause, like Habana on Williams in 2008. The try doesn't quite highlight his attributes though.

He is quite strong, the light coloured players very commonly punch above their weight. I'd trust Kolbe in contact more than a Damian. Most lethal finisher? Not so sure. In South Africa alone, Mapimpi has the best try ratio of every South African (88.2% to Kolbe's still excellent 52.9%). If you factor in possessions handled, it makes Mapimpi's stat something of a miracle, as he can often have below 1% of total team possession. Of those possessions, he often has to make something from absolutely nothing. Both wings are not really being utilised to their full potential. For me, the Wellington test of 2018 was Kolbe's signature performance. It had everything.

Embarrassingly poor attempts at tackling by Williams and Cowan Dickie ?

Not really, Kolbe is very difficult to get a hold on ....elusive doesn't begin to describe it.

Kolbe is by far the most lethal finisher in the game Mapimpi is good but none of his test tries have been through individual brilliance like Kolbe keeps producing Kolbe is now built like a brick shithouse A leaf gym lazy Mostert should have taken

Incorrect.

Also, Kolbe was strong long before "beefing up". He's been strong for many years.

Training isn't like a Rocky montage Unteromlett. You can't simply indefinitely bulk up. That's how Big Joe hurt his career!

Dave how did I know you really wanted to ding ‘man of the series’ Mostert when you went on about Kolbe in the gym. Bulking up has ruined many rugby players….Monty for example lost his speed.

What I have a hard time understanding is how Williams gave Kolbe an inside look. He needed to keep him on the outside. Easier said than done but Williams went straight at him giving Kolbe both options. Good night Eileen.

Man of the series according to Keo - enough said Williams had a nightmare all round Percy needed to bulk up as he used to get thrown around like a rag doll He was talented but like Morne, Jantjies and Bosch he lacked the hard edge

Morné has over 80% for tackle stats, which actually puts him ahead of Carter on defence. He never had trouble physically handling himself on defence or attack.

No Guffybear, your big picks lack hard edge. Like JJ, Serfontein, Damian, Lambie, Goosen. You sure knew how to pick them. Making excuse after excuse for these flubs, like the JJ bounce around against Samoa and Smith. Or how Sunny Bill bounced and ran over Damian repeatedly. Or Lambie being run over and dragged back against England in 2014. Excuse after excuse. Your calls are a joke. At least you don't take yourself so seriously and care what people think...

Morné is the only 10 we've had in my lifetime who tracks back on defence making heroic cover tackles. This man goes hunting on defence and on attack, is quick to read play and bait and take contact if needs be. Not this Goosen or Lambie crabbing and passing five metres in front of the defensive front. It pays to know what you are talking about Unteromlett. Wise up.

Saffex, is there any current Bok you don’t think is “the best in the game”? If so, please provide a list….

Omelette let me tell you this for the last time and no amount of utter horseshit from your ignorant mouth will change the fact that Morne is and always has been shit scared of contact. You can literally see it in his eyes and body language He literally cowers when faced with having to confront someone. The guy is chicken shit and that a fact. End of Oh so Pollard does not track back and cover defensively huh? Ignorant prick

One of the things I like most about this forum is how we're all prepared to change our minds about players based on constructive and considered input from other parties.

Keep it up guys!

He scored from a fluke. The ref could have cancelled the try. There was no action.

Just guys tossing a coin, hoping it falls neither on tails, on heads. It happens. Sometimes. Not so often.

In the meantime, an ugly display of anything unworthy of being called rugby.

Reads like the new SA export. After depleting the gold mines, it has to be something.

Salt for rugby lovers. SA may become the first export nation in the world quite fast.
