Their first gripe was when the value of the £ fell dramatically immediately following the referendum and everybody started moaning about their "losses" because of it. They are busy with an active campaign against Tru.mp in exactly the same way as the likes of CNN. The joke is that everything is starting to blow up in their faces. The reality, for the UK as far as the value of the £ goes since the referendum is that the £ was hopelessly overvalued for ages and that was one of the things that hurt exports, and in effect manufauring and jobs, the most. British products were just too expensive. Britain used to be a big manufacturer of steel. Most of those steel plants closed down due to cheaper steel from China. British steel became too expensive. The same happened in many other sectors. The USA were experiencing the same. DT took a hell of a lot of flack about the Paris agreement. Nobody bothers to have a look at the damn agreement and the implications of it. Do yourself a favour and check it up and look up the reasons why he withdrew from it. Look beyond what the likes of Macron, et al was saying. Go look exactly who it is that is benefitting from the Paris Agreement. I know the above touches here and there but I can assure you that if I had time I would have done something more structured and systematic. I was probably one of the biggest anti DT people there are plainly because he comes across as an empty headed egotistical buffoon but I wanted to find out what was it about him. I was moered suprised. I am still no big fan of everything he says and do and the way he goes about it but, IMO, he is exactly what the US needs right now. Pity the UK didn't have a DT at the moment. I'm with you on Clinton, CC. I kept on saying, during the campaign, that I was glad that I wasn't an American who had to make that choice. And then I started digging into all the investigations, etc, etc and then I came to understand what the hell was going on. I followed the entire investigation into the Benghazi Attacks, where they actually discovered the whole email server debacle. Then I started on Operation Fast and Furious. That led me to many other aspects, such as the IRS' political profiling exercise. Each time it was a matter of one thing leading to the other. I will say it again. I am not a nutcase about all of this like Beeno. I find out these things for myself and look at the whole picture. Not only little video clips here and there. I watched the full hearing of James Comey recently. Not only little bits here and there. I.e. I watched him being questioned by both the Democrats and the Republicans. It is a revelation, I'm telling you.

Well it's funny that one, soon as we thought it couldn't get better it actually did. After our tour of Italy we kinda thought that there'd never be another as good.....glad to have been proven wrong. Taking nothing away from Spain I'd have to say Portugal was a revelation, in hindsight we'd liked to have stayed a couple of days longer.

Welcome back D. You say Portugal was a revelation. I am married to a pretty little porra, and I have been getting pressure from her and her family to visit Portugal. Up until now I thought their over selling of their country was just typical of any expat. I never even entertained the idea of actually going there. Tell me why I should please. Wifey would love it if I changed my tune on the matter. 

@Bluebok, I had the opportunity to go to Portugal but that was almost 20 years ago. In fact, we arrived at the Hotel Dom Pedro in Villa Moura, in the Algarve,on the day of Princess Diana's funeral. We stayed in the Algarve for five days and then went to Lisbon by bus for two days. The one thing that immediately raised our attention was the laid back attitude of the guys. Their shops opened at 10 am and that does not necessarily mean that they were open for business at 10am. That is when they also arrive and start cleaning the counters, etc. When you're in a restaurant you have three glasses. One for water, one for red wine and one for white wine. When you decide on, let's say, red wine, they pour. And they keep that glass filled. The only way, at that time, to stop them filling up was to stop drinking. Their hospitality is second to none. One of the things that I enjoyed most when eating out was their bread. Forget about Boerbrood. Those Porras' breads are amazing. We have always said that we wanted to go back but, sadly we just never got around to that, yet. On our way to Lisbon we had a stopover for lunch at the castle in Setubal. Unbelievable. The road trip up to the castle and from there to Lisbon was unbelievable. Lisbon was the first time that I actually realised how we in SA had no idea what ancient history means. The city itself is devised has "two parts" by way of speaking. The old part that was from before the great fire of the 1700s and the modern part, believe it or not, as they call it, which was after the great fire. Two days, just like the case with any of the European cities, is nowhere near enough time to explore it. My guess is that two weeks would not have been enough two explore the Algarve, let alone five days.
