Hundreds of thousands are signing up to ban Donald Trump from the UK

LONDON — A petition to block Donald Trump from entering the UK has exceeded 275,000 signatures, as British politicians and the public line up to denounce the U.S. Republican presidential candidate following his latest incendiary statement.

Hundreds of thousands of people signed the petition, entitled "Block Donald J Trump from UK entry," after Trump said Muslims should be banned from entering the U.S.


All petitions that pass 100,000 are considered for debate in Parliament, and are "almost always debated." Petitions that reached this stage generally receive a half day of backbench time.

Prime Minister David Cameron dismissed Trump's comments as "divisive, unhelpful and quite simply wrong" while London Mayor Boris Johnson said they were "complete and utter nonsense."

He also laughed off Trump's suggestion that some parts of London are so radicalised that police fear for their lives.

"As a city where more than 300 languages are spoken, London has a proud history of tolerance and diversity and to suggest there are areas where police officers cannot go because of radicalisation is simply ridiculous," he said.

"Crime has been falling steadily both in London and in New York. The only reason I wouldn't go to some parts of New York is the real risk of meeting Donald Trump," he added.

Scottish MP Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh, meanwhile, said that Trump's comments amount to "hate preaching." The SNP minister said he should be refused entry to the UK.

Author J.K. Rowling has also weighed in, tweeting her dismay at Trump being compared to Harry Potter villain Voldemort. "How horrible," she said. "Voldemort was nowhere near as bad."

 World politics needs a bit of political incorrectness. Trump seems to be getting away with it. It would seem that ISIS and radical Islam is playing into the hand of the right wing in the States and Europe.  Even Putin seems to gain by the reluctance of the Obama administration to act decisively is another boost...how convenient. Really looks like puppet masters pulling the strings and conspiracy theorists are looking more credible by the day.

The reactions of the Republican candidates to Donald Trump's lunatic and bigoted ravings tell a story of their own.

Candidates like Jeb Bush and John Kasich describe Trump as "unhinged" and "outrageously divisive" but compare their reactions to the more diplomatic and guarded reactions of Marco Rubio ("I disagree with Donald Trumps latest proposal") or Ted Cruz ("that's not my policy").

Not hard to see who the real Republican candidates are. Bush, Kasich, Christie and co are the lightweights who are prepared to trash Trump to some extent but the real contenders are the smarter ones who would still like to get the Trump supporters onto their side at some stage in the not too distant future. It's a given that Trump will say something incredibly stupid in the run-up to the nomination that burns his campaign so the winner will be whichever of Rubio or Cruz can pick more ex-Trump supporters. Bear in mind these Trump supporters must be among the stupidest people on the planet so it'll be interesting to see the tactics employed.

Of course, the Democrats and everyone else are free to say what they like about Trump so they just tell the truth, calling him a "reprehensible" and "facist" demagogue . . . which is what he is.

Right now it's a 3 horse race for the Republican nomination between Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and F*ckface von Clownstick . . . but it's a matter of time before it's a straight 2-horse race.

Guess it doesn't really matter either way since most of us agree that Mr Pres is just a puppet for big corporates. Only question is...will Trumo tick the Muslims off even more? What's the solution? Kill them all or drive them back to the middle east and build a wall around the place? Neither of those will happen. So the solution is to bomb them.  Of course all these 300000 are doing is denying free speech. They may not agree with Trump, but he is not inciting violence. There are many aberrant voices which are given free play in the UK. The reason Trump gets this kind of reaction is because he is a right wing voice. It's all massive hypocrisy.
Draad we have a strange phenomenon at the moment where the US is about the only economy strong enough to raise rates. That makes the dollar super strong and all emerging economy currencies super weak. But relative to historical norms, the dollar is already quite expensive....as are most stock markets. Those games may be over.

Oil is massively depressed and could go lower. But if OPEC pulls back production 5% there will be a much more than 5% jump in oil prices. The rational thing to do is cut back, but they are punishing the frackers. I have most faith in oil at these levels and in related oil assets. But you have to have the courage to withstand further dips.
From an RSA/Rand perspective gold is not a bad bet at these low levels as my friend Blikkies has suggested.

 The reason Le Pen failed is because of the structure of the French elections. One party dropped out of the race, realising they would not win anything and urged their supporters to vote for Hollande's Party. Thereafter, all manner of tactical voting took place to cancel out the votes for the FN. it doesn't mean the Party does not have massive support, or is not correct in many of the manifesto pledges, what it means is, a number of other parties has to jointly pool their resources in order to counteract the amount of votes they were gaining. And this will only breed more resentment, especially in places like Calais, where the local population has been selling their homes if they can and the others are left wishing they could. 
The Norwegian Police are incredibly concerned about who they have been forced to let into the country, as they could not screen them all correctly because of the ridiculous numbers pouring in. Now they are busy trying to establish who owns the hundreds of phones/laptops they themselves have confiscated on arrival, that contain incredibly disturbing images of beheadings and the usual propoganda. They have a huge problem in Norway and Sweden, it is horrendous for the populations there. 
And yes, England has massive problems and will have more if this stupid Govt does not listen to the electorate. We don't want 85 Sharia Courts, we don't want any. We don't want Halal slaughter.We don't want kids having to be told they will wear trousers to school not skirts because it offends the Muslim children. We do not want FGM. We do not want buildings being turned into Mosques on every corner or in every street, as they are in areas of Birmingham ( and, as such, become exempt from rates/Council Tax ) The proportion of Muslim families who claim multiple benefits is very high as opposed to white British families, but it is the latter who are having theirs removed ( breeds huge resentment ) Housing Associations are providing homes for refugees/migrants but not British families ( more intense resentment ) There have been a glut of male grooming gangs, all involving Muslim men, and all gone untouched for years because of " political sensitivities " Not acceptable. The proportion of rapes has escalated exponentionally, as has violent crime. Three schools are facing calls for criminal proceedings now as they were found to have been illegally set up. All have been shut down, all were Muslim schools. And the school situation is quite serious, particularly in areas like Birmingham. 
The list goes on and yes, there are no go areas in the country, the Police do have to patrol certain areas in civvies, not uniform as it" might upset " the residents if they go in uniform, certain areas " police themselves and dispense their own justice " in the words of certain officers. In my area, there is no money for new officers, they are laying them off one after another and some people have been on the list to recruit for a number of years.....but this year, they found funds to recruit a number of Muslim officers and spend a great deal of time in the schools ( of which the PCC is selling the Force HQ to build a " faith school " for them.....) and " community. This is all going down like a lead balloon. 
The list goes on and on. 
But there will be terrible trouble soon and some poor innocents will suffer for it, all because Govts are failing to do their duty.
