don't get the buzz about Willie Le Roux......perhaps I've developed a flat spot towards him but for mine, he's had many opportunities, has never realized his earlier promise, has a pap boot and his option taking is poor. He is a liability the last line of defence can ill afford. Willie's out of hand kicking is pap, the length of his kicks are average and most of them fail to go out. What I dis like most is his chip kicks in the opposition red zone....it's just dumb.

Denny his tackling stats are poor this Super season, but he has gained more metres a carry than Israel Dagg. This in a side not playing a very attacking game.
Much is said about his supposed lack of physical commitment, but after he landed on his neck in that awful incident against the Highlanders...he got up and took the next one without hesitation. That took some guts
To me the stuff Willlie does, which would be lauded in other players, tends to be taken for granted in Willie's case. I agree he has somewhat under performed his early promise, but I doubt we have anybody better.

Let's see how long it takes before Mike arrives.
What could be an interesting debate will no doubt be spoilt once these two frustrated codgers go at it.
Might as well not bother with a contribution.

Well, let me be of assistance
CleverMike: there he goes again with his nonsense and typical BS using stats incorrectly to prove his favorites are good & the players he hates are crap.
I base my conclusions on players on objective analysis, on performance not on reputation.
Mozart: nonsense as usual you are incapable of logical thought. Once again you are touting the talent of the latest "pop guns".

Tiresome, huh?
You seem to have it down pat.
Think I'd rather endure another one of your copy and pastes.

I think I can do a better Moffie than that . . .
"Oh you're just a fat, drunken, short, poor, smelly (add any other derogatory adjectives that might be applicable) loser who has to work for a living and who knows nothing about rugby while I'm an intelligent, wealthy, educated, respected (add any other self-aggrandizing adjectives that might be applicable) rugby guru . . . and my house is bigger than yours . . . and I was on the board of a Fortune top 500 company . . . and I drank a bottle of 300 year old whiskey last night called Lagapretentiousripoff which you could never afford . . . so nyaah nyaah nyaah . . . now where were we?"

Hahahahahhahahahahaha
Actually the only thing not so funny is the abysmal ignorance of dense denise. Willie has been the sole Bok with creative falir and has been very closely maked by opponents. He has to try sometimes too hard because nobody else creates much.
I think this is about to cha nge unless Coetzee fouls up completely. NOBODY with any rugby acument can ignore what the Lions are doing.

Nope I have never tried Lagapretentiousripoff, but I own considerable stock in the presumptive owner, Diageo. I once negotiated a multi billion dollar deal with it's predecessor company, absolutely true story. I should try pretentious, is it a bit like like Lagavullin ....hahaha. You just can't win.

Moz is spot on.......his comment "To me the stuff Willlie does, which would be lauded in other players, tends to be taken for granted in Willie's case"
What Willie and Jantjies bring to the game cannot be coached or taught. Their creative instincts are beyond those of the average player out there. Their strength is creating something from nothing, creating space for others, putting players into space.
Its a gift, these guys have the x factor.....the Boks without Willie would be sterile, he is the one player who has you at the edge of your seat, the expectations are high when he is on the move.
We have others that have these possibilities but in different forms, but these guys are only just establishing themselves in the side or are about to.
I honestly fail to understand questions marks being raised against our best attacking Bok.

Yup I just don't understand how anybody can fail to see the talent, flair, nous and game sense in Willie. Some people come from a different planet.
@ Moz...by the way,w as that before The Big Short or afterwards

I think Willie is still our best 15, but it'd be interesting to see how Gelant develops but is it just me our was Willie even better at wing for the Boks?

Correction Bluebok it's not Mike and Moz but Dave and Moz...Mike and Moz is so unlikely that Beeno will think that a miracle has happened
