Joe Pietersen. Jantjies will have to prove consistency. can he do this? The Du Preez brothers look Bok material to me and that this year.
Sharks should have won the game against the the Jags easily. Apart from shoddy ball control they look a good side. No pap forwards in their midst.  Stormers have 3 suspect forwards.I hate to say it but a win by the unsavoury gupsters looks a distinct possibility and would not be a surprise to me.

 Actually ... I like that ...
Joe Pietersen has a cool head ... loads of experience ... and plays consistently at a high level.
I've called for his inclusion before.
Beandip must have had his poenda ration served this weekend. No more foggy brain ... no longer cross eyed ... no more voices in the head ...
Well not for at least a week or so ... I hope.
Glad for you Beandip!!
Under your thumb, brother!!!

The problem with the Stormers is their game plan deficiencies.  They are the only SA franchise still trying to play Stampkar rugby.   They struggled against the Cheetahs and find it impossible to change that situation.  The problem remains around the Stormers loosies and the fact that De Jongh is not a center capable of playing at 12.
I know the Stormers supporters will crucify me - but Burger on Saturday showed that he really is past it - the Free State loosies played the fool with him.  De Jongh was desperately poor at inside center.  Fact is he is too small and weak to be playing in that position.
Du Preez's injury is a serious handicap for the Stormers and I am afraid that Coleman is nothing better than a club player - not even good enough to play on CC level.  They have Jean-Luc du Plessis - but he is inexperienced and with De Jongh outside of him he will be a sacrificing  lamb.
One wonders when the Stormers will discover the art to play positive rugby.
Besides that the Du Preez twins will slaughter the deficient Stormers loosies and Esterhuizen will do the same with De Jongh.

Chipped ou you clearly know zip about politics, much like ou maaaikie, so I suggest you consider changing that by reading my superb contributions on Side Swipe.Ou maaaikie is too embarrassed to as all his calls keep going wrong Hahaahhahahaha
Burger was still the hardest working loose forward in the Stormers pack. It was however not a performance up with his brilliant best. Time marches on for the great man.Been dripping realism as always. I leave fantasy rugby to those naturally gifted in that direction!!Ou Cc for once is seeing a bit of sense.

Which of my rugby calls went wrong?
You actually admit that Burger is in the slide even though you try to hide it.   I am not interested in what is done in fantasy rugby - I am interested what players in fact deliver and Burger;s performance was average to poor on Saturday.

To call his performance poor is absurd - it was workmanlike and he was kept on the whole match. Still has a great work ethic and plays the entire 80 minutes. However ou maaaikie I was referring to you USA politi cal calls. wee rubio is toast. Hhahahahahahahahaha its like taking candy from a baby!

What a joke.  There is a difference between hardworking in a game and being effective in the game.  Burger fouled up a number of times resulting in penalties and ball possession losses.   That is factual and that made him ineffective.  As you say he is on the slide and that is a fact as well.
Your US political forecasts are always funny - you think that a candidate who gained just over 30% of the vote can become the Republican Party candidate.   At this stage Trump has 382 delegates - as against 312 by Cruz and 138 by Rubio and 30 by other candidates,  That is far from the majority delegates he needs to be elected and Trump knows it and is trying to cuddle up to Ted Cruz who would have enough delegates to get him over the mark needed.

Stupid idiot can you actually read English?
Start off with the comments of Beeno:-
"Stormers have 3 suspect forwards.I hate to say it but a win by the unsavoury gupsters looks a distinct possibility and would not be a surprise to me."
The subsequent discussions with the issue raised by Beeno as quoted.
I think one must never discuss rugby issues with the worst village idiot on the planet.

I'd leave the Du Preez twins out of test rugby this season, it's only their first season of Super Rugby and to throw them into test rugby just adds to their workload. Let them become well acquainted with a full season of Super Rugby and Currie Cup, come 2017 depending on how well they're playing (as well as others in their position) then consider them for the Boks.
It's also 2 games into the season, they haven't really proven anything except that they're strong runners and tacklers. I haven't seen much with regards to the breakdown on their behalf which is probably the most vital part of modern rugby.
We've got plenty of depth in the backrow, no need to fast forward their progression and risk injury due to being overplayed like with Arno Botha.

Bullshit....Jantjies was our best 10 in last years s15......my assertion, endorsed by Nick Mallet.
So his apprenticeship is long over......at 25 and having played for a good few years now, he has nothing more to prove.....what he needs is a coach who rewards skill and consistent performance.
A Bok coach would be stupid to ignore what Pollard and Jantjies would bring to a squad. I used to have Lambie behind Pollard but Jantjies takes that spot now.
In order its Pollard, Jantjies, Lambie, Goosen and du Preez

Jantjies three missed kicks. And here's the tell, after kicking fluidly with nothing on the line, he misses with the game on the line. He also missed four out of eight  tackles and was run over, in Januarie vs Brent Russell fashion for the Chiefs first try. He will choke, not just in tests but before Super Rugby is done. Once a choker.... Faf was the guy who made the real difference, his clearing was so quick that Jantjies had acres of open space, with only Cruden or forwards in front of him. Don't be fooled, we have seen this movie before.

Oh boy nothing changes.....so Jantjies is defined by missed kicks and getting run over once...talk about pathetically short sighted.
My guess is all those comments about him in his selection of TOW on two sights and the impressive Christian Cullen waxing lyrical about him is all inaccurate hey Moz.
Your take is the very reason your calls are always so poor. You define players by the negatives. It's rugby for God sake kicks are missed as are tackles. The reason he made TOW and why Cullen sang his praises is that for 90% of the time he was sublime.
How about for fucking once in your life you acknowledge the good in a player instead of hashing out the usual predictable shit Moz. It's frustratingly boring. So in your eyes Jantjies was poor and these idiots along with Cullen have no idea what they are talking about.
It's impossible to debate rugby with you...its just a joke

I never said he was poor on the day....I said there was enough of his rugby DNA in evidence to suggest that he is essentially the same player. As for all those over the top  announcer compliments,  they were for South African consumption. Nobody was more surprised when the Chiefs lost than Christian Cullen.

I was not surprised by the loss of the Chiefs - I even predicted a Lions win on Superbru. The reason was not a negative perception - but the fact that I thought the forwards pack of the Chiefs would be too weak to compete against the Lions.   And they were proven to be too weak.
I am not a Jantjies fan because of his inconsistency - Jantjies can be good at times - but bad at another time.   I agree with some that he is not psychological fit to play for the Springboks.
Jantjies on Saturday had all the opportunities to shine - getting front foot ball from the forwards all the time.
This story about the fact that he played well in the team because nobody thought the Lions will win is so far off the mark it shows a seriously defective rugby insight/ knowledge.

You said Jantjies did well because nobody expected the Lions to beat the Chiefs and that was the only reason that Jantjies did well.   All  I said was that your comments were way of the mark and not of any substance in this case,
The case actually was that Jantjies got a good service from a pack that over-shadowed the Chiefs comprehensively - that being the reason for the Chiefs loss and Jantjies performance.

Jantjies was fantastic is a real talent. There should never have been a surprise in the Lions win...they are that good these days.
As for rugby DNA well every single player is less than perfect.
Look at you banging on about CJ s metres gained per match...absolutely no different to Etzebeth with 12m in 12 carries.
You don't appreciate the fact that this is the norm while operating in traffic. Instead you define the player as poor because it happens to be CJ...but Etzebeth does no better and he is great.
Jantjies was outstanding for 90% of the time and you define by his 10%....its not worth the debate

janties best 10 from SA last year for sure, IMO 2nd best 10 in the comp, just behind  sopooaga.

janties would also be in the mix for best SA player in spXV, right up there with jese and jaco kriel and d de allende.
i would give de allende the nod though for best player from SA in 2015, microscopically ahead of jaco kriel.

i think to many negative opinions on janties are based on performances from years ago, where there might of been some merit. but janties has come a long way since then.
my top 3 SA flyhaklves at the moment are in order, 1 h pollard, 2 bambi, 3 e janties, but if janties continues to preform the way he has been doing for the last 14 months, he will be the no2 SA flyhalf over all, and could potentially become the inc, umbent.

Hahaha snippy Sushi, very snippy. Does your fairy story have pictures? Elton making a good conversion in a match still in dispute . Allende taking the ball at pace. Kriel tackling a Japanese centre or Jaco Kriel driving Vunipola off the line. These little guys(Allende excepted) are never going to survive in the charnel house that is international rugby. Allende is big enough, but you can't make a dangerous break at snail's pace....he should look at  the Joe Cool tapes to learn how to run onto a ball at pace.

Did you actually watch any of the Super 15 games last year.  De Alende is now judged by you on the basis of the WC where he never got balls in minimal space and could not do breaks at pace.
No surprise - the few balls he did get in no space whatsoever - was mostly from our stand-in flyhalf Burger and rarely from Pollard.  No backline player could operate properly bearing in mind the atrocious game plan used by Meyer.
Where he did balls with 5 meter space in front of him he did make breaks in Super 15 - the second highest number of line breaks in 2015 and the highest number of defenders beaten.
He even recorded the highest number of defenders beaten in the WC despite a game plan that was a serious distortion - one of the main reason for Meyer having to fll on his own sword.

Nonsense HasBeen.  In domestic terms he has had a succesful presidency. The economy is in way better shape than when he started. And there has never been a hint of unethical behavior on his part. His legacy hangs on foreign policy, where things are much less positive and time will tell if real damage has been done.

I don't think that Obama was as bad as you made him out to be - Mozart is correcrt in this case.
Domestically the administration under Obama is not as weak as it was in the case of his predecessor and he was more liberal than a lot of people like - his foreign policy showed signs of serious weakness that could benefit the extremists wanting to undermine the Sates.
I am not sure that the a change of President will benefit the US and think that his likely successor  will be Clinton a much weaker personalty .
