Seb, the Olympics will help giving exposure to 7s and some of it will tub off on 15man Rugga, but rugby does not need the Olympics and surely the 15man game is not suited for The Games. World Rugby is strong as agame so for me there are no worries. The game has grown immensely since 95 and wi ll continue to do so.

Good summary Draad. It is also showing our 15 man coaches that we have the kills and pace to run the ball.

Your point is valid Dbdraad but that 's not what I'm saying ...I'm talking about exposure...spinoff and not a total revolution or change...union will indirectly benefit from this advertising...this is the point I'm trying to make...maybe not in my limited years I've got left on earth before I snuff it or the Saviour returns but an initiation of the betterment and promotion of rugby...I love watching rugby, irrespective if my supporting team loses...I want RUGBY to win every time irrespective of my feelings...the game is greater than any individual or nation and stands alone in it's entertainment.

Seb, not trying to be negative, but bowls is also a olympic sport. Yes, there will be exposure and spin offs, but not that much. I also love the game, but that does not mean I want everybody in the world to play it. Yes, it would be nice, but I rather like it as it is and if it grows too quickly, it might change the game for the worst. It has been growing steadily for 20 odd years and I'm happy about that.

I think the game has suffered immensely since going Pro.
And Sevens has always been big in this Country....it has gone backwards since the advent of the World Series. The smaller Tournaments no longer exist now. Even the Middlesex Sevens has had to give way for the London leg of the World Series and been altered into some ridiculous Tournament later in the season involving teams from around the world.
It's just stupid.

There's a place for sevens but personally I'll swop winning ten sevens tournaments for one test match victory over the ABs .

I never used to take much interest in 7's but really enjoying it these days. It does help that the Blitzbokke are on fire on the moment.
The TV exposure it is getting has elevated the status of 7's.
There are a few 7's lads I'd love to see more of in 15s, like Kwagga, Kok and Bronco.
Senatla is an awesome talent and Kolbe is perfectly at home in 7's.
