Is there anything as stupid as a Goats supporter ... ?

I've often wondered about this.

Is there anything as cowardly as these sniveling little men?

It's poor performances like we saw from the All Blacks yesterday that give these little men hope.

They dream of world domination  ... a Goats era ... ruling for a decade ... they dream of the Goats being great again ... like back in the day when the world feared the mighty Boks.

Are they honestly that delusional?

Do they not know that those days are gone ... never to be seen again?

They ignore the dire situation SA rugby finds itself in ... and then rush off to get the latest Goats jersey.

Their entire domestic competition has been turned on its head with enforced race based selections ... and with talented youngsters fleeing the country in search of greener pastures elsewhere ... and these cowardly little men are ok with it.

They support their quota captain ... calling it a brilliant decision from their fat coach to unite the nation. 

They embrace it ... convincing themselves that it's the right thing to do.

They cheer their 2nd rate Goats on ... ever hopeful ... maybe today they'll do us proud ... only to see them lose to a 2nd tier rugby nation.

The mere fact that their national side is selected to appease the government does not bother them. They are ok with it.

We even see television panels supporting this race based team ... not daring to say anything derogatory about these absurd selections.

We have Goats supporters blaming the ref when they lose ... we have coaches posting video rants for the world to see, embarrassing himself and the nation ... and what boggles the mind is the amount of support he gets from these sniveling little men.

It's a disgrace.

We have morons drawing up endless list of the useless as possible replacements for their failing heroes.

No ... I can honestly say that I have never come across such stupidity before.

Desperate, cowardly men are willing to accept anything it seems.

Ant-supporters are way worse...you and Trad make a cute couple. 

This is a very hard team to watch, and like. It is a very dark period of South African rugby. José has damaged the Bok brand in worse ways than even Snor. Snor was embarrassing, but he didn't put South African rugby at war with the governing body of the sport, nor did he totally cave to the politicians. In fact, José is the very first coach I have seen to use the race card to pressure referees into giving the Boks a free pass. Now they can throat slam players, take them out of the air, come in from the side, flop onto the ruck like Steph and Lood usually do, and how about the seven uncalled forward passes (there was one from Am to Willie yesterday). To make matters worse, we aren't even playing good rugby. Look at the likes of Saffex, who refused to acknowledge Meyer's 22 game unbeaten run against all but New Zealand and the glut of tries because they were "moral losses" and "no team with Morné could score that many tries". Not a Bok fan, but a worshiper of certain personalities within the game. He gushed over the tripe against Georgia, then the Lions, and then Argentina, and gave all but Orie, Krutch and Mostert a pass for the Wallaby walloping. Now, in the most non-existent attacking performance of this century, it was a great showing where we had New Zealand on the ropes. Never mind that New Zealand left several tries out there - they could easily have put up fifty points with the tries they ruined with unforced errors - all is good in Bok land. Deluded is putting it mildly. It's an odd time in Bok rugby, nobody is really going after the coach or the team for the most part, not like they usually would. The plastiks really believe that they are all that. Maybe one last loss in the SH for the year will send the panic alarm going, but then again maybe not. We know that a win next week, irrespective of performance, will have the plastiks crowing "I told you so", "we arez da besyst in fa werld". The red flags have been there all along. When José achieved an inferior record than his predecessor, a record that got his predecessor fired, it was apparent we were going to be in for a ride.

Yes. Reference one other period in Bok rugby where coaches, ex-coaches, players and other prominent figures openly criticise the Boks for their conduct and performances. The floor is yours.

Ever since i started watching...if you don't know this...why di you think Jake got fired...and Mallet? South Africans are a fickle lot and the most ungrateful fans ever.

Answer: Not in my lifetime, that's for sure. Three All Black coaches, Two Wallaby coaches, numerous people in the UK etc, etc.

Dave you allow the commentary to influence you.  Let’s compare Kolisi and Savea, who is generally regarded as having a quiet game.

Savea made 8 tackles and missed 1. Kolisi made 7 tackles missing none.

Savea made 18 metres in 5  carries beating 3 defenders and making 2 offloads and 6 passes. Kolisi made 19 metres in 6 carries beating 2 defenders and making 0 offloads and 2 passes.

Savea was quiet and Kolisi was ‘huge’…..how?

How. Simple. In a team so bereft of any ambition, his small contribution was huge.

The only solution for the Springboks is to start a process of introducing new young talent into the ranks.

No better time than now as they are going nowhere but down with the older players.

Most of the Springbok team are playing rugby year round in SA or overseas to earn and secure their futures with respect to retirement and  who can blame they.

The EOTY games are upon us and perhaps it is time to restructure both the player squad as well as the coaching team in particular the backline coach - if you can call him that.

Out with the old and in with the new young blood.

We need to build a squad that can go to the next WC with at least a shot of winning.

Not as easy as you think. Meyer had to juggle the interim period between the old and new, José isn't cut out for that. Besides, the gameplan is the greatest weakness. 

Well when you get the coach praising his game plan on Aussie TV after a loss you know your team has more problems than the AB's.
