by Coetzee to choose a locally based player as captain, it also sends a message to overseas based players. That out of the way t he obvious choice for captain is Warren Whiteley.

 Inspirational leader.
Absolute class act as far as I'm concerned.

I'm all for this, especially if we play Faf and Jantjies at 9 and 10. That means we'd have a spine that has played together often but it does depend how Coetzee and his management team want in their gameplan. Also why I'd have Vermeulen move to 7 because he's such an asset on and off the field still, it's just annoying that he's an overseas player.

I see there are rumours of Eben and Lood at lock with PSdT moving in at 7 and Jaco Kriel at 6. Such an arrangement would give enough cover for the lineouts and opens the possibility for Whiteley(capt) at 8. But reality will see Kolisi at 7 and PSdT at lock and to keep some bulk in the forwards, Vermeulen then at 8.
The 2 givens for both scenarios are Eben and Jaco.
