Moz, we don't have a real candidate for Bok coach. Yes Ackers and Swys are doing well, but they're still too green.

Mozart - another load of BS.  In 2012 the real issue was that the tries scored in 2012 was over-whelmingly scored when Morne was nowhere in sight.  10 tries scored in the 7 games Morne was at flyhalf and 13 in the five tests he was sidelined.   Then came the hurrah about the 2013 tests.  Which teams did the Springboks play in the June incoming tests - Samoa, Italy and Scotland.   Against those three teams the Springboks scored 16 tries - huge achievement against lesser teams hardly making the top 10 ranked teams in World Rugby.   Of the 29 tries scored in the rest of 2013 - 9 came from one test match against Argentina - when the latter team largely played with 14 men in the second half of that game.  The other 20 tries was scored in 8 matches played.  So the idiot had to come up with numbers without looking at substance of the games played in an effort to glorify Morne Steyn.  What a rubbish set of information provided in this case.

You blame him when tries aren't scored Tokkie....but when tries are scored you say he was nowhere in sight. Tokkie you are a complete mess. Your contention was Morne lowers the try scoring rate....I just disproved that.....have the basic decency to at least be embarrassed you pathetic old bore.

Mozart

I am not embarrassed - I deal with facts - not fiction.

If Morne is so good - why is he the bench flyhalf for Stade Francais?      The other matter you refuse to recognise is the aimless and inaccurate kicking out of hand which is Morne Steyn's trademark.   What the stats also lack is how many of the tries were scored when Morne was involved in a backline attacking movement.  For instance of the 10 tries scored in 2012 by backline players with Morne Steyn at flyhalf - I know of at least 3 tries were scored without any involvement at all by Morne Steyn.   If he was involved - the tries would never have materialized.

The simple fact is we scored almost a  try a test more in 2013 under Morne vs 2015 without Morne.....against stronger opposition in 2013. Your point has been squashed, now have the decency to just slink away.

The opposition in the June 2015 tests was so amazingly poor - the Cheetahs would have beaten them.   Fact is your story is total BS.   I did an evaluation of the 2013 campaign - the teams the Springboks met was NOT stronger opposition and the actual position is that the Springboks scored  few tries against DECENT opposition.    When tries were scored in 2012 it was much fewer in the 7 tests Morne played in than the 5 he was justifiably left out of the team because of poor performance.  Your dunce sub-ordinate - Ceradunce - went missing after your rubbish was rebutted - so what now?    Fact remains Morne is and has since 2012 not been an acceptable international flyhalf and the sooner the issue is put to rest - the better it would be for all concerned.

Well let's look at your rebuttal
2015.....................2013
NZx2......................NZx2
Ozx1......................OZx2
Walesx1..................Walesx1
Samoax1..................Samoax1
Argentinax3.............Argentinax2
Scotlandx1................Scotlandx2
Francex0...................Francex1
Italyx0......................Italyx1
USAx1.......................USAx0
Japanx1.....................Japanx0

So we can eliminate the redundancies. Effectively in 2015 the unique games were: USA, Japan, Argentina an extra time vs in 2013 Oz an extra time, France, Italy and Scotland an extra time.

So what would be a harder schedule USA, Japan , Argentina......or Oz, France, Scotland and Italy?

Wait don't bother to answer that, let's just use the IRB rankings
Oz=4France=7Scotland=8............> leading to an average of 8.0Italy=13

Arg=9Japan=12................> leading to an average of 12.66USA=17
So there we have the complete picture in tests against a mix of the same opponents plus different opposition ranked 8.0 on average....Morne produced 3..75 tries per test.
In 2015, without Morne against the same opponents and different opposition ranked 12.66.....the Boks produced 3.1 tries on average.
Destroyed on all fronts.....stay down Tokkie.

What are you on about here.   First you publish hogwash about the 2012 try scoring stats and complemented those with the statistics for 2013 – glorifying Morne beyond recognition.   When the flaws in your effort are pointed out – you came up with the tests played in 2015 compared with those in 2013.     There is no logic in your ravings as to the above.

The situation was as follows:-

Tests played     2012

England           -    4

Argentina       -     2

Australia         -     2

New Zealand  -    2

Ireland             -    1

Scotland          -     1

Tests played     2013

Scotland          -    2

Samoa             -    1

Italy                 -     1

Argentina       -     2

Australia         -     2

New Zealand  -    2

Wales              -    1

France            -     1

The opposition in 2013 was not stronger in 2013 than it was in 2012.   Matter of fact the exact opposite happened.   So the egg mountain is getting higher and higher

I agree the opposition in 2013 was not stronger than 2013.....haha.....what a Mong.

The reason 2013 is more relevant DomTokkie....is Morne played in every match in 2013......and he played effectively zero matches in 2015. A perfect comparison.
In 2012 he played in only 7 out of 12 matches. Not a relevant comparison...nor did I use 2012 stats to imply anything about Morne, only about the Boks' try scoring under HM. Straighten up and fly right buffoon.

You suddenly blame the Springboks poor record in the 2014 and 2015 tests on the absence of Morne from the team?   How about the rest of your favourites being present  and causing havoc?   That is what I call idiocy supreme.   Morne was poor whenever he played for the Springboks and cause losses for them - the most pertinent the Perth test in which he failed miserably - a fact you tried to hide away.   The list of failures are long and the 2014 and 2015 squads of Meyer was outright sabotage of rugby - your strong support of Meyer and his crazy selections all the time was a joke of the century on this site.

On the contrary all I provided were facts.
You blamed our lack of tries on Morne......I demonstrated based on 2013 vs 2015, years where Morne played every game and no games....we scored almost a try more per game when he was playing.
You then said the opposition was weaker in 2015....I demonstrated that according to IRB rankings, the opposition was stronger in 2013.

I made no claims of my own....I simply blew your BS to Kingdom Come. Eat your crow.

Mozart - your thinking is restricted to very few issues of substance.   With Meyer's game plan scoring f tries became an impossibility.   That - plus the fact of his usage of forwards as stand-in flyhalf on a continuous basis make scoring of tries a virtual impossibility.   Surely Morne was to blame for not being a pivot, but a donkey kicking flyhalf did impact negatively on the scoring of tries, but the impact of the general game plan and the way Meyer used his scrummie to continuously pass balls to forwards must not be forgotten.   Using 2013 as a base is laughable - since more than half of the tries were scored in 4 games - against decent opposition the trying scoring was poor, because the game plan was predictable and easily containable.   Why was your hero left out from playing for the Springboks - was it not poor performance?

There was no real argument - one can only try to rectify crazy statements like you constantly make.  That Is not an argument - but then I realise that there is o way you will get out of being an admirer of has beens and never-has-beens.   Your stats interpretation is crazy as well - because of usage thereof with nothing realistic.   Meyer was a flop and the last good game I saw of Morne was in 2010 - since then he went progressively worse.

Mozart -the only fool on the site - repeatedly proven - are you.   A fool that can compare apples with pears when dealing with statistics is in fact worse than a fool.  C omparable stats are wasted when tries scored against the Italians are compared with those scored against New Zealand,  Stats should be used on a team by team basis and not on an overall basis.  Understand it now?

The bottom line is, that during Morne's time on the park as the Bok 10, certain results were recorded.
These results cannot be refuted ... no matter how hard you try to redirect the angle of your argument ... or how you try to twist it it to suite your argument ... the fact remains that more trys were scored when he played for the Boks than when he didn't.
In other words, Mike ... you have once again received a beating ... actually ... from where I'm sitting ... it's more of a thrashing ... a rather comprehensive spanking.
So instead of going around and around like you did with Strauss ... with your usual fabrication ... just accept that you've been taught a lesson here (again) and move on.
The chances are good that you will probably be on the receiving end next time again ... but don't let that stop you from making and arse of yourself.
