Dr Moz nobody plays well in a Bok backline. The backline is poorly coached and selected. In addition the loose trio is very poor. Fact is as Mallet said, and as has been evident for years now, they have no idea about attacking play. In fact the coaches coach them not to have any clue.

- Ineffective loosies. Is Carr even playing?
- Bok defensive line deep and passive- Sterile backline with Willie the only back doing anything decisive or dangerous- Everything happening too slowly with not enough urgency

First Bok try looked suspiciously like Stephanie obstructed Italian tacklers. That said the Italian defence is very lumpy, with acres of open space after any initial line break. This team should be beaten by 40 points.

The best result here is a loss as it may mean anew coach and the abandonment of quotas and also a desire to address problems - but even this is a forlorn hope. Now we could see a second half spurt but the first half has been poor.

The gap between the forwards and backs is too wide. The team has no idea when the play it amongst the forwards- and when to go wide with the backs.

Italy down to 13 men for a minute or two there and the Boks still can't exploit it.

What an inept team. They are efficient at nothing.

They are steamrolled by Italy on static phases.

Italy is pumped for the event, they are aggressive on their tackles, they put pressure.

SA side has no mental virtues, they are amorphous. Working rate is abyssal, dedication absent, concentration an insult.

They are out of condition, puffing out for air even when the pace is so low. Look at that, no pace in that game.

Is there one SA player with a bit of a rugby brain? The decisions are so poor. Have they been tutored in rugby or something?
Because patching up a bunc of hobbos who never touched a rugby in their life and you will get the same result.
For far cheaper.

Why is Alberts and Paige Springboks - they ere both useless and so was Koch.  This coach is mad - bringing on Jantjies and then removing Le  Roux and put on Goosen.   Does the idiot even have one braincell that functions ?

All the wealth of SA squandered to hit that kind of results. Bet that non whites in SA would prefer their environment untouched than being ruined by those leeches.

Excellent men bring nothing but destruction.

How hapless.

The Boks are now officially the Proteas. The anc has succeeded in reducing the once Mighty Boks to the non entity level of bafana buffoona. Job well done oaks.
I think all sincere rugby fans must boycott home tests.

They are now officially known as the Spring-goats.
Alister Coetzee is a pathetic coach. The worst coach in Springbok history- and his win loss ratio reflects this.
I have lost interest in Bok rugby- I will probably stop watching the games....

Wonder what the spin will be. I hear that clown Owen saying Italy showing they are a world force. HahhahahahahaMeaNwhile italy got truly thrashed by wee abs mid week side. It's sheer dishonesty. The Italians beat a quota riddled and quota coached team that a Lions side of ACKERMAN WOULD WHIP!

The only thing the side does well is run directly at the opposition. Head down and charge. The TV panel can actually discuss the problem. No one can this racist approach to rugby wont work. Then deal with the other issues.

As Mallet says our attack is simplistic and easy to defend against. Again Mallet is correct saying set piece is not enough. He says only the Lions play rugby that aligns to the current rules.Pick the best - players and coaches. Then address structural problems. How can the Lions team can play with the required skills but nobody else does although the Ch eethas are not too bad in terms of skills. Major unions like the Bulls Stormers and sharks are way off the pace attacking skillswise.

Tough luck boys, sorry to see the Boks hit another low. Congrats to the Italians, an historic win for them.
Looks like Wales was in a close one with Japan so there is a bit of a shake up in World rugby now when you also take into account the AB loss to Ireland. Good for rugby but a bitter pill to swallow those traditionally strong teams.
