Hi CC
Nope. I don't feel hollow and empty at all. Looking for answers and hearing other people's opinions on things doesn't mean that i'm hollow bud. It means 'm having a conversation. Nothing more and nothing less.
No, i don't believe in something. I have an idea of how i think the world around me works, but i change that idea as and when new information comes to light. What you are referring to when you say i "believe in something" is, i guess, the explanation i gave you on HOW THE JEWISH PEOPLE in general view the things we discussed. Again...NOT ME. I can't make this any clearer. But fine, if you want to make it seem as though it's me who made this up, and if that helps you to not confront the questions i asked...then so be it.
Why is it that you are so adamant to prove that it is me who thinks this stuff? I have told you multiple times that it's not what i believe...IT's WHAT JEWS BELIEVE. Does it make it easier for you to answer my questions if you can approach the debate as though i am a evil misguided crackpot?
Nothing has been "planted" in my head. Well, having an inquiring mind. Maybe being inquiring is the root of all evil, i don't know. If that is the case, then i guess you are correct.
No, those were not the only reasons the Jews rejected Jesus. Another reason is because their book says that the Messiah was to be completely human. Jesus was not...he was a demi-god of sorts, since he did not have a human father. Unless his mom managed to remain a virgin whilst becoming pregnant? He also did not usher in an era of peace and goodness for all mankind. Anyway, not that you care, but i will list here a bunch of things which the Messiah in the Old Testament(Original version) was supposed to do/be...
- Isaiah 1:26: "And I will restore your judges as at first and your
counsellors as in the beginning; afterwards you shall be called City of
Righteousness, Faithful City." Some Jews interpret this to mean that the Sanhedrin will be re-established."
- Once he is King, leaders of other nations will look to him for guidance.
- The whole world will worship the One God of Israel
- He will be descended from King David Via Soloman
- The "spirit of the Lord" will be upon him, and he will have a "fear of God" evil
and tyranny will not be able to stand before his leadership
- Knowledge of God will fill the world
- He will include and attract people from all cultures and nations
- All Israelites will be returned to their homeland
- Death will be swallowed up forever
- There will be no more hunger or illness, and death will cease
- All of the dead will rise again
The Jewish people will experience eternal joy and gladness
- He will be a messenger of peace
- Nations will recognize the wrongs they did to Israel
- The peoples of the world will turn to the Jews for spiritual guidance
- The ruined cities of Israel will be restored
- Weapons of war will be destroyed
- The people of Israel will have direct access to the Torah through their minds and Torah Study will become the study of the wisdom of the heart
- He will give you all the worthy desires of your heart
- He will take the barren land and make it abundant and fruitful
Ok, well how many of the above did he fulfill? Thus, can you blame them for not considering him the Messiah and feeling that Christians hijacked their religion and changed it to suite their requirements...as you seem to say i have done IE Pick and choose what you want to believe.
If you consider that you are correct and that all the Jews that don't believe in Jesus will go to hell even though they also follow the word of God and that there is no middle ground for Christians and Jews. Then I guess for me to even consider that maybe, hopefully, there could be a middle ground since i cant stand the idea of so many people going to hell(the hell you believe in), then yeah. I am immoral and certainly require salvation. And i most certainly have lost my mind.
Again, it's NOT MY TWISTED TRANS LATION.
Also, why is it that as we go further into this, you don't seem to answer any questions? Well you tried to answer a little at the start, by saying "Because that's how it is", but then you have slowly turned into becoming insulting?
Why even bother to take part in this kind of conversation if you will become immature as soon as you can't answer? And also, why is it that, i'm not Jewish, Christian, Muslim etc and yet i am able to have a mature conversation with you, simply pointing our things and that i've read about or learnt first hand, and then asking questions...and you are not able to do the same?
So to summarise...You can ignore everything i wrote here but just elaborate for me on these two things...
1) Why do you insist on saying that it is ME who is twisted and has lost my mind to believe the above, when i have clearly pointed out that A) I don't believe it and B) it's from the Jewish faith which pre-exists yours and is the faith yours is "based" on.
2) Why have you felt the need to become aggressive and insulting?
Just those two. That's all i'd like you to address. My guess is it will be ignored.
