Chris Cloete is probably one of the best opensides in the world and is overlooked...size being his sin, just as Brussouw. Sad to see players like them going to waste at international level.

PS Rooi, Plum had the better bait this time AND hid the hook better too!

He has been playing well. Each game he seems to get a bit better. He is an all-rounder loose-forward fetcher, ball carrier, linking player and tackler.

Everybody played well last week because the Aussie pack was put on the back foot by our counter riuckers...best to identify the underlying cause. It's unfortunate Keintjie isn't playing this week, but i doubt the ABs would have been a happy hunting ground for a small chap like Kriel.

Actually SB he conceded one turnover, conceded one penalty and picked up 2 turnovers. A net zero. So it's his [pressure at the breakdown that helped, much of that was aided by the counter ruck. He has games where he is awol defensively, eg in Salta he missed 3 of his 13 tackle attempts, but against Oz he led the team with 15 tackles and only one missed. I'm not sure if du Preez or our flank sub Stephanie can do that job.

Jaco Kriel is not small, he is the perfect size for an openside - I'd say he and Hooper are the best in the game - I'd add Savea to that list, who is better than Cane

CLOETE is better, but with a tendency for hot headed brain farts. Probably the best athlete of the bunch and super committed.

Damn shame about Kriel ,I like to see our boys playing your best .How long is he out for ?

These small chaps tend to be out a lot....2 litre straight fours reving at 7500 rpm are not very reliable.

True that witness Milner Skudder .They reckon the Honda 250cc six cylinder revving at 12000rpm was as temperamental as it gets.
