Jason Roy destroys the Black Caps

NZ looked like the team to beat, but in the fickle T20 game things change quickly. Four horrendous last overs by the NZ bats followed by Roy's onslaught at the beginning of the Pom innings all but settled things. Root is so solid at the moment that the insurance policy was surely in place.

What happened? Too many NZ batsmen fiddled away and then got out, Taylor being particularly ineffective. And the seam bowling was toothless. Much is made of it being a different game, but surely Southee or Bolt could have done better.

After walking through Oz and India this has to be a particularly disappointing loss....and its ironical that South African born Roy was so instrumental....the beat goes on.

 It boggles the mind that Bolt was made the water boy......they hung him out to dry for all of the big games.

 I also can't imagine that some of the regular English fast bowlers wouldn't be a step up  on their T20 chaps.
