A bit disappointed yes, but luckily they gave Du Preez game time in all the other matches. I was a bit nervous about Coleman on the bench, but he seems to have bulked up a bit during his layoff.A player like Du Plessis will have injuries regularly. I just hope he's back in 4 w and not out longer.
Thanks for posting Rooi.

Think you're better off with Robert du Preez to be honest. Jean-Luc looks like a bit of a paff.

He's got something extra, but he needs a bit more time to settle down...paff, really? He is a competitor, but tries too hard at times. IMO he is streets ahead of Bambie, Jantjies and even Pollard....I might be a bit hard on Pollard after his long lay-off, but there's still time for him to prove me wrong.

Pollard has already proven he has the bmt....it was his breaks that got us in the game vs the ABs in 2014. And he succeeded with every one of his goal kicks in the WC semi. It may take most of Super Rugby, but Pollard will be back.
Draad I agree Jean-Luc is a massive trier, but in the end I think du Preez's bigger frame makes him the more likely prospect. Can't fault Jl's guts though.

IMO, Pollard plays more like a 12....and as for JLDP, man, he's an effort player like Schalk, with a good pass and the vision to execute a foot pass or a grubber to perfection. He brings a bit of out of the box finesse to the game that can't be coached...not like Jantjies, he seems to be more controlled and doesn,t do the hoslital pass. His skill should be nurtured. But at this time its the potential that has me excited. He still has to to do it though.

Flyhalfs need ability to read the game and make decisions - bulk has very little to do that. The less able to do that the stronger Mozart support that player.
