Jean-Luc du Plessis performance evaluation

I was impressed with Du Plessis' performance tonight,   His reading of the game was very good and his passing game consequently excellent - accurate and very good in that respect.
He missed some difficult goalkicks from near the sideline - for the rest his game was very good.
The try scored by him was really an excellent example of what can be expected from a player with ball sense.    .  

Not a bad addition to the team. He's very composed and I like his passing game but it was an awful goal kicking display, he just needs to improve on that aspect sooner than later else it will be a problem.

Nevertheless good debut performance, this lad and Robert du Preez is the real deal.

Good to see that there is many young talented fly halfs coming through WP/Stormers. Robert du Preez - J Luc du Plessis, Brandon Thompson, Ernst Stapelberg are all great WP 10's, as well as young fly half Adriaan Van Der Bank and Damian Williemse who showed a lot of potential in craven week. Amazing fly half depth in this province.

His goal kicks will hopfully improve.

 He missed three conversions from the side-line - I grant that in what I wrote.   Bit looking at the over-all game there was something often enough missed out by most SA flyhalfs - namely ball sense.   His reading of the game was excellent and was really something added a lot of value to the Stormers backline performance.
