 The major drug problem in Australia is not always realized by foreigners.  I went to Australia a couple of times and what put me off was the buckets in public amenities with a notice above saying "Put your used needles in here".
There is no doubt that the problem also are relevant in the sporting circles - so I would not at all be surprised if Hunt is in fact involved.   If he distributes - he is likely to be a user as well and he probably find substances that would prevent it shopwing up during testing.

Mike

South Africa does not have a drug problem?

And don't you think it's a safe practice to provide a bucket for a used needle?...or would you prefer someone step/fall on one by accident?

 The campaigns both to provide needles for free and to remove the used ones are anti-AIDS campaigns, nothing to do with being drugs a major problem or a minor one.

@Mr. Been,

"the Ozzies and nz oaks are full of [removed]s. The have to manage the waste products offically"

even talking about an issue like the drugs you have to bring your xenophobia?
Drugs are widespreaded over the whole world and the problems associated with them are very similar in all the countries, the vast majority of them coming from their outlawing and banning.

I realize the issue about AIDS prevention, but the issue here that surprised me was that drug abuse happens in public facilities and not in more domestic environment.   I know there is a drug  problem throughout the world -  and in my foreign travels I have never seen that as a facility provided for public use in other countries.

 have you never been to Europe, mike?
In many european countries there are public facilities for drug administration. Here, in the Basque Country as everywhere in Spain, there are social services offices for administering methadone to the heroin addicts, the same in France, in Switzerland cities like Zurich where there are parks and other public sites where drug users can freely take their drugs, heroin or whatever...... in another level, in Holland there's been long time since thelegalisation of the marijuana and you can buy it in any coffee-shop (as now happens also in some USA states),.......

 Stupidity knows no bounds.
Now one wonders about that drunk "alleged" rape/sexual assault incident in the toilets when he was playing rugby league.

 yeah, very very difficult to understand how rugby league or union players who have earned or still earn some good money can get involved in drug trafficking

I remember being in Amsterdam in the 1970's when I was accosted by a marijuana salesman in Amsterdam.   He tried to sell it to me and made the comment about it being the best stuff in the World - it was from Weza.   That struck me as a joke - Weza is the biggest forestry plantation in the Southern Hemisphere situated in KwaZulu-Natal and what was even weirder - I worked for the owners (the Government Department of Forestry) for more than a decade.   Was well aware of the massive marijuana production in the area too.
Marijuana is so widely used in SA if the police has to arrest all the users - 75% of the population would be in jail.   Although it is prohibited by law - I do not think in general it is regarded as a serious drug - more a light one.
Sure I have been to Europe many times - the last time I was there was 7 years ago - so things may have changed since then.

Mikey, now that you've managed to wipe that thick layer of egg off your face, how about petitioning the local council to adopt the Australian Govt. approach to the safe disposal of needles?
