Angry Britons have launched a petition calling for U.S. President Barack Obama to be prevented from speaking in the UK parliament on Britain’s forthcoming referendum on European Union (EU) membership.

The petition on the Parliament website, which has so far been signed by over 4,000 people, calls on ministers and MPs to stop Mr Obama using parliament as a platform to tell Britain to stay in the European Union.

If the petition reaches 10,000 signatures the government will be obliged to issue an official response, and if over 100,000 sign it will be considered for debate in parliament.

The Guardian reported last week that the U.S. President is planning a “big, public reach-out” to stop Britain voting the leave the European Union, however there are already signs his interference could backfire.

This Friday, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said America had a “profound interest” in a “strong UK staying inside a strong European Union”.

His speech was strongly criticised by Eurosceptics, with Jack Montgomery of campaign group Leave.EU saying: “It might be convenient for John Kerry, who has repeatedly declined to support the UK in the Falklands, for us to be in the EU, but that doesn’t mean it’s good for us.

“Imagine if Kerry proposed a pan-American union in which an unelected commission would control United States immigration policy, trade policy and regulations, among a host of other important matters. He would be run out of Washington DC on a rail.”

Conservative MP Jacob Rees-Mogg said: “The intervention of patronising foreign potentates such as Kerry… can only help the Leave campaign.

“They speak to their national interest not ours so will antagonise the freedom loving British voter.”

Fellow Conservative John Redwood added: “Most British people will feel this is a debate for us and it’s unusual for a foreign country to wish to intervene… I don’t know what he means by it. I don’t suppose he’s thought it through at all.

“If the United States was about to enter a union with Mexico, Cuba and Canada on a similar basis to the European Union then maybe they would have some moral authority to tell us to do the same with Eastern Europe and Italy.”

Clinton has strong support from black voters in the state

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are leading their respective primary rivals in South Carolina by wide margins, according to a new poll.

The billionaire businessman is currently the top choice among likely Republican primary voters in the state , polling at 42% , the latest CBS News survey has found. His support base is made up of mostly conservatives and evangelical voters, according to results released Sunday. Trump is trailed by Ted Cruz, who polled at 20%.

Clinton has the support of 59% of likely Democratic primary voters in South Carolina, which is a lead that has narrowed slightly from last month, according to CBS. The former Secretary of State’s voter base consists largely of black voters, the news outlet said. Bernie Sanders, who leads among white voters and young voters, is behind Clinton with 40%, the poll shows.

The CBS poll was conducted in waves, with the latest fielding only likely South Carolina primary voters between Feb. 10 and Feb. 12. There were 744 likely Republican primary voters interviewed. The margin of error is plus or minus 5.7%. Meanwhile, 404 likely Democratic primary voters were polled, with a margin of error of plus or minus 8.7%.

We all read the newspapers and I get flooded with US republican publications.  I also read the news and so does everyone on this site,  We all have differing opinions on issues - so it is not necessary to flood us with what the different actors says about issues.
An earnest plea is made to you to stop flooding the site with issues such as the above and stick to rugby and sport issues.

Don't get me wrong - I was just feeling that there is too much being read into the present political scenarios in Europe and the USA.   It is early days to draw constructive and realistic conclusions as to what is going to happen next.
However, I am grateful about one posting of yours and one of Rooinek - it is clear that Merk el and Mozart look like they are brother and sister - positively ugly.   I also liked a speech of Nigel Farange in the EU Parliament where he said to the ex-Prime Minister of Belgium "Why don't you shut up.  You must be the vilest, rudest politician in European Politics".
So how does that relate to this Board.  The comments of Farange as to the debate in the EU Parliament can be applied word to word to our site member Mozart.  He must be "the vilest, rudest" member of this site.

"The world is..." When there are plurals(more than one) involved then we use "are". "All the men in the world are..." "These days so many women are..." "F1 cars ARE all fast" ""The universe has many words which ARE unknown to us". Haha no i am gonna correct you every time you get it wrong from now on. Because all these mistake ARE unacceptable :)
