The Southern Kings have announced three more player signings ahead of their Super Rugby campaign.

Kings COO Charl Crous confirmed on Monday that lock Philip du Preez, returning from a stint with Bayonne in France, Bulls fullback Jurgen Visser and Griquas hooker Martin Bezuidenhout have all signed for the season.

Crous also announced that Sharks utility back Jaco van Tonder has joined the squad on trial this week.

The Kings are finalising their squad ahead of the start of the season having announced a number of new signings last week as well.

The franchise has pre-season fixtures against NMMU, the Stormers and Cheetahs before their first Super Rugby match against the Sharks on 27 February in Port Elizabeth.

Jerkin Fisher was discarded from the Bulls after a disastrous season. He is a club rugby player at best.  The other no name brands are not worth much of a mention either. A utility back is often a player that is not good enough to start is often shunted around as a placeholder

You must remember that the Mighty South Western Districts and Border are part of this Franchise and they also get reject players from other provinces -so they are gpind yo lose every match they are involved in - that would ne setting a new record in that tournament.    

Surely a team should only be allowed to participate if they have a contract with a Sponsor long before the start of the season. (As well as a squad that is at least of sub-standard well before the start of the season). 

What I expect from this team is a backline that is worse than useless. We will see some physical stuff from the forwards which will contribute to injuries to our better teams. When he Kings tours they will be a total embarrassment. It will mostly be 9 man rugby with some 10 man aimless rugby.
