If there were any doubts before this game, the young red head dispelled them in style today. He has been wrongly pinged a few times this year. Frans Malherbe is looking a good prospect as well.

Good win by the Stormers, they needed that. Close game, with the Stormers forwards setting the platform. Good games from Kitshoff, Malherbe, Bekker, Kolisi, Rhodes and Vermeulen. In the backs, Jean setup de Jongh nicely for that try. Duvenhage lets the Stormers down, Groom is far better.

For the Sharks Cooper, Coetzee and Steph du Toit were good in the forwards. Reinach was good, Lambie solid and Frans looked back in he mood for running. I agreed with the commentators, they should have moved Frans back to 12 in place of the ineffective Bosman

Defence is a strength of Frans, has always been. He looked a little indecisive in that the young wing on debut on his outside, had rushed out of the line. Tinus Delport in the Sky studio made that call.

Frans was half commited to that tackle, went too high and it was a great hand-off by de Jongh - perfect timing, much like Sergel Petersen handing off that big centre or full back in the Kings first game of the season.

It was one of those rugby moments, great hand off, but does not define Frans as a defender, for we know its not a weakness. It was a Lambie on Schalk moment.

You're right Dave, I thought Schalk and Lambie as well....the angles were almost the same. And it was the same ramrod straight arm.

But the reason Frans' ran with more authority is he got a little space.....I'd leave him at fullback.

Well, with Taute out of the equation at 15 and the fact that we cant consider Lambie at 15, given the injury to Goosen, Frans and Willie le Roux are our only options at 15.

I dont mind Frans playing at 15, but I prefer him at 12. Its not so much that he had space to run today, it was more about how he ran. He looked to jink as we know he can and thats what we need to see him do at 12 as he did in his first two S15 games of the year.

The Sharks need Fans back at 12, as Bosman provides nothing on attack, add that to ineffectiveness of Jordaan at 13. I'd play Frans at 12 and move JP to 13, with Jordaan on the wing
