So, I'd say Jaco Kriel won that battle against Cane. The battle some poster suggested Kriel would lose easily. Seems Faf and Elton both shook off that ring rust. Faf is lightning. I watched him carefully and man it's inhuman how quickly thqt ball gets spread. Very impressed. Anyone still think Jantjies isn't a top contender for the Bok 10 Jersey? Now we wait for the naysayers to come on and say how badly the Chiefs played and how that's the only reason the Lions won. A small moment that impressed me. The Chiefs got a penalty on about 71 minutes outside the Lion's 22. By the time they pick the ball up the Lions had retreated 10 very quickly. When do we ever see that. To me, those small things speak volumes about the coach. And his team. Again, screw anyone who thinks SA aren't skilled enough to play 15 man rugby. Shows how very little old Meyer tits knew about rugby.

Not only Meyer - all his idolizers on this site as well.
Marx really is something special - this guy at 21 is better than Strauss and Bismarck already.
I was not really surprised - but also delighted - my Forecast on Sup[erbru was that the Lions would win by 3 points - not far out I am afraid.
Just one other thing.  NZ needs a new flyhalf - both Crud3en and Barrett folds under pressure.

It will be an injustice if Faf & Kriel don't get Bok caps this year, both were simply outstanding tonight .

Mike, Cruden's 22 drop out that led to the Lions last try...WHAT THE HELL WAS HE THINKING? Haha good call on the scoreline also ;)

That is exactly what I mean - when under pressure he goes to pieces.  Not the first time that kind of stupidity happens.
I am sorry - but we have fou nd a new Springbok wing also - Ruan Combrinck.

Apparently it took 28 hours for the Lions to get from Tokyo to Hamilton (trouble with plane wheels) arriving late Monday night .

Just another example of how poor the Chiefs really is.

"It will be an injustice if Faf & Kriel don't get Bok caps this year, both were simply outstanding tonight"   - Yes and Warren Whitey also had a good game, but is he perhaps not 1 or 2 kilos too light for #8?

Mostert was OK, but as far as the Boks are concerned, Eben and Lood should be the Bok combo. It would have been interesting to see how much further PSDT could be developed had he played under the Lions coaching.

Combrink was outstanding. Dear old Dawie was punting him now for a long time.

Well done Lions - just shows what a good coaching staff can achieve.

Two away from home ... two down ...
Fantastic ...
Keep it up boys.
I would also like to throw the name Skosan into the hat for a possible Bok spot. He had a great game last weekend and he was simply outstanding this morning.
