DB, you should be happy to see SA teams playing with such abandon. Gone are the hulking forwards with beer guts & gone is the string bean line-out jumper.

The rooster finishes it...'what a performance, it's been a blockbuster, they have so many strings to their bow, ' ... Unbelievably poor commentary. ... Kwagga looked promising, Jantjies continues to play well at this level, Whiteley is ubiquitous.

The BIG question is why have the Lions gone from zero to top team with smallet budgets than say Sharks and Bulle. Why do the possess skills no other SA franchise have.
Answer because the other Franchises don't have the same quality coaching staff. Also I fear quotas are ruining the Stormers. Too many small players will ensue the Stormers don't challenge for top honours.
I cant for a moment believe that the other franchises cant get up to speed. Also look at the Kings. They are showing real improvement. Showing some good skills.

Beenz, the Lions got molded into a team by hardship. Their one season relegation did them good, and apparently the Keengs are better for being relagated too.

Dr Mozzzz take your meds. Being too critical could be the prozac? Lions played some great rugby.

 A pretty predictable outcome.
Still, you can only beat what's in front of you.
Combrink right back to his best.

So sad to lose Far to Sale at the end of the season.
How did Mostert stack up stat wise Moz?

28 metres in 5 carries...., 1 clean break, one defender beaten....3 tackles made, none missed....2 lineouts taken, none on opposition ball. Etzebeth remains our only regular pilferer of oppo ball.

A brilliant performance by the Lions.

Exploited the Bulls and their weaknesses at every turn.

Why not select the Bok core from the Lions?

There are a few one can bring in from other franchises but we have the front row covered with Edgar on the bench ... as well as 1 in the 2nd row (Mostert) ... the back row apart from Cloete who would be most welcome ... the centre pair in Vorster and Janse van Rensburg ... as well as the 14 jersey now that Combrinks back.

We also have quality prospects at 11 and 15 and let's face it our scrummie will take some beating.

Maak al die Leeus Bokke.

Simply superb.

Moz, do you have a "rucks attended" stat?
Or if you could point me to a page that has these stats.
With the Lions having 65% possession yesterday none of the Lions were ever gonna make a million tackles.  Either way the rucks stats offer invaluable information as to a player's work rate.
