Lions fan boy!

Can I just say hats off to the Lions. By no means are you the best team in the competition but dammit you guys are inspiring a nation more than the Boks have done for four years. Long may forward thinking coaches and players rule the SA game. My feeling is that when people look back years from now at when and how SA rugby changed, the Lions will be noted as the team that dragged SA rugby out of the dark ages.

 They certainly are on a high right now.
I've waited two decades for this ... endured a lot of verbal abuse and ridicule ... the boots on the other foot now ... aaaaah my turn now ... good times!!
May it long continue.

Yeah, good point Plum...our other teams seem to be slipping back into the familiar same old, same old, but the Lions are shaking things up...and they are having relative success in doing so. If the Lions continue to out perform the other SA unions, maybe the rest will embrace the fact that the game has evolved. Lord forbid....it may filter through to the Boks...and even CC might start to support them again!  
Clean, glad you finally have something to cheer about man...being a Lions supporter must have been a biatch the last while.

Fully agree. You cant admire enough what they have achieved in bringing their franchise back to life.
They are also destroying the myth that we can not play attacking rugby. Up until isolation we generally had great backlines etc.All this nonsense started with the bulle kick and chase that won them a super rugby title. Not three as the Sharks were crooked out and so were the Stormers in finals against the bulle. However the halfits decided this was the way to play the game and a decade was lost.It's all about balance oaks.

Yup, fun to watch. Tremendous spirit and enthusiasm.
Nice to see a team where the whole is more than the sum of the collective parts.

 Of course they still need to beat the Bools at Loftus this Saturday. Why does that seem a hard ask? I mean with all the politically correct offloading vs the politically incorrect  Bools kicking it should be a lock. Could they fix global warming next?

 Beating the Bulls at home isn't a done deal ... I hope the boys realise that.
We can attend to global warming after this important match ... right now we have to stay focused ...

 If the Bulls play like they did this past weekend they are gonna get a new A-hole ripped. My feeling is that Akkerman has the rub of his local counterparts. Only time will tell if this will apply on Saturday. Missing Jantjies might hurt them, but not as much as The injuries to the front row did some weeks ago. I'd love to see RG Snyman move to the Lions if Mostert leaves. I can't think of any other lock in SA that'll match Mostert's heart. Pipe dreams, I know.
