The Emirates Golden Lions have secured the signatures of several of their stalwarts - including captain Warren Whiteley ahead of the start of the 2015 season.
Whiteley and fellow Boks Marnitz Boshoff and Julian Redelinghuys have all extended their contracts until 2016, while Springbok tourists Jaco Kriel and Ruan Dreyer have also renewed their contracts at the union.
High Performance Manager Bart Schoeman is thrilled to have secured the services of prominent senior stalwarts.
"Having re-signed these players will certainly add to the confidence and continuity at the GLRU and will assist the Union in meeting the goals we have set ourselves since our readmission into the Super Rugby tournament in 2014," said Schoeman.
"These senior players join Derick Minnie, Stokkies Hanekom, Warwick Tecklenburg, Sampie Mastriet, Franco Mostert and other experienced players in extending their contracts with the GLRU.
"Combining these signings with a host of talented junior players, currently contracted to the Union, the future really does look bright for the Lions."
Additionally, the GLRU will engage in contractual negotiations with selected senior and junior players in the weeks leading up to the start of the 2015 season
Unfortunately the hapless ep queens look likely to to prop up the table.
