Pead fucking around again and gets his team trapped behind the gain line, and now his kick is charged.
Lions v All Blacks
Temu with a great tackle and turnover on Sititi.
Great carry by Francke and Brandon drops it in contact.
Brilliant try ABs. Can't argue with that. Might become a bit of a blowout now.
ABs take the lead.
Jirre the Mpeku oak aid a horrendous defender
And Pead makes yet another mistake ...the ref literally screamed in his ear "Taken back in"...and then he box kicks its directly into touch
Pead has been terrible.
Would like to see that cleanout on Erich again, looked dodgy in real time.
Angus Gardener asks the scrum if they can do a bit of gardening.
Good pressure Pretorius. Lions have another chance.
And the Lions scrum destroyed. Shit.
lol unlucky Lions
Easily the best game of the tour though
Narawa over as four Lions converge on him and leave the inside wide open. Just soft moments like that have cost the Lions, so little structure in defense.
Fucking excellent game though. As always the Lions just not the personnel, too many weak spots but damn did they punch hard tonight. Respect.
Well done to the Lions locks as well, especially Delport who gave good account of himself after my early doubts. The guys showed up.
No wonder Pead is number 3 in the pecking order. We have too many nippy 9s, but SA rugby works when you have a technical 9 that can dictate the flow of the game and have command over the forwards. There is room for an attacking 9, but even Joost could do both.
Unfortunately Pead stock went down tonight. Another Grant Williams
Not a good outing but he may have been a little star struck by the All Blacks, I'm not fussed about it. He'll be back. Didn't do the Lions any favours though, they lost a lot when Steyn went off. Like many he had his soft moments but he was excellent for the most part.
Wee kiwi ballarinas showed up by a depleted Lions side.
Boan is no power scrummager.
Smith at fly half was very good. Quan also impressive.
Nice pace from Lions 6
Sorry, who won Hasbeeno??
Depleted? That was virtually the Lions URC squad bar a few players out injured and Krappies with the Boks. I knew if they were going to play their natural game they would stack up some points, anyone who watched them in the URC up until the final weeks when they switched their approach would know how good they are ball in hand. Their defense, as ever, let them down. Just too many soft moments.
This reminds me of the Lion's game against the British Lions. They were incredible. I've only seen a sliver of the game, but my general impression is favorable. I'll try to watch the game later.
