 Great try by the Lions.
Man one has to say again the Lions are by far the best coached side in SA. Look at how all the players have developed. So many previousl y ordinary players plaing very well. Play as a team and never stop.

 Akkers looks to be a Bok certainty. Mobile aggressive and strong. I wont be surprised to see Redlinghuys in the mix. Whitely very dynamic but can he do it at test level.
Van Der walt coming along well at f ullback and the two wings playing well.

 I do hope ou JW is seeing how rugby should be played.

Who will keep up the intensity best. The Jaguares are an international side after all.
But the Lions have shown they play 80 minutes.Goooooooooooooooooooo Lions.

 Lions are very good team & worth watching Beeno but I leave it to you to convince Mozart

 Beeno, glad you have finally wised-up & realized that kiwi rugby (a more balanced game) is the way to go. I doubt Mozart will be convinced, I believe he thinks that SA doesn't have the backs to implement a balanced game & who am I to disagree

 What a magnificent performance by the Lions.Can they win the Super comp? If they play like this its very possible.52-24 win!!Its old fashioned balanced Bok rugby. Power pace and skills. It all went wrong with the Bulle

Zero informational content in this game. The  Jags were totally inept. The try from the Skosan kickoff recovery, when do you ever see a player with a clean path through onto the kickoff ball like that...every half savvy team gets players in the way. Then there were a gazzillion missed tackles and stupid offloads and phase play which just invited the turnover...by the Jaguares.
And as expected having flown after a hard game last week and playing at altitude, these guys were dead after 40 minutes. 
The Argentinians play process rugby...patterns....the Jags are trying to play NZ rugby, but without the rugby instincts that comes from playing  from early youth. In some ways they are like USA soccer...robotic.


There is no doubt the Lions are executing the ball in hand style well.....but today under zero pressure. We will have to see them against committed properly prepared teams.

Of the players Whiteley and Combrink are stepping up. Whiteley and Kriel both have pace to burn. By contrast Jantjies was  inconsistent and his kicking has to be a major concern.

The Lions did well today. They are playing more positive rugby than the usual crash ball being dished out.
The Jaguars should get a sponsor from RyanAir as the worst tra vel schedule possible.

 I see the good Dr Mozzzzz down playing he Lions as much as possible. I cant recall his take on last Saturdays win by the Lions!Lets face facts. Ackermann has take a no hoper side to this. Imagine this type of coaching on a Bulle, Sharks or Stormers outfit. Ackerman has built his squad superbly, they are physical, mobile, skilful and deser ve huge praise when one considers from whence they came.They are changing the face of SA rugby! The idea we cant attack is being blown apart.Now please i am not advocating complete helter skleter ballet rugby but one can see there is no reason whatsoever we cant improve our attacking game very significantly.

Moz...you still gotta make the plays. Sure the Jags weren't very good but the Lions offloading was exceptional. I hope Meyer was watching...and remembered how his "Bok side" lost to a team that the Lions raped today.
