 Brycy
Just one serious question - can the Chiefs scrum?  They were sub-par against the Crusaders - but abysmal up to halftime.

The problem was that the Chiefs have a crinkle paper Tight 5 - and they lost the game in that Department of the game.
They won one scrum only,  lost the rest and the ref helped them in two by giving them short arm penalties.
For the rest the Chief backline was superior yet the Lions backline players scored tries.
Guess who said the Lions would beat the Chiefs by 3 points.

The kiwis are pap and lack real men in the pack - they rely on ballet moves in the backline and above all  bent refs. Very neat summary I am sure all will agree especially wee wee JW!
Oaks will recall that last year I said that Faf De Klerk was the best scrummie on view. Well he seems to be on track to repeat that. He clearly out classed wee aaron smith last year and must build on that.

Good to see cc's (pronounced sissy's) lions got a win that will keep the old blowhard huffing & puffing for a while.
Glad to see wee Bee no has emerged from his political underground forum. I hope to watch the stormers & their micro backs in action later. This s18 format is going as predicted - giving hope to the SA teams & their supporters. Surely this won't result in crushing disappointment in the finals

Haha smart ar5e. I was referring to the run that extends from the CC last year. Different comp sure, but still the same team ;) If im not mistaken, they were unbeaten there and have added on another two now. Obviously warm up matches don't count.

Then my friend ABF - the Chiefs did not realize that they have to up their game.  They beat the blundering Crusaders and they should have known they have a harder nut to crack in the Lions game .

mike, I'm afraid you've gone also too far,..... plum was talking about extending lion's winning streak and include the CC games,...... what do the "blundering Crusaders" have to do with it?

are you talking about the "blundering Crusaders" that thump the sharks in Durban last time they met 10-52? or may be you're talking about the "blundering Crusaders" that have won 15 of their 19 matches against the sh arks?

Why did the Crusaders lose against the Chiefs?  They were slightly superior up front - so they should have won that game.  They did not - so they blundered during the game.  I am not worried about what happened in the past - I am interested in the present.
Maybe you have it wrong - I am not a Sharks supporter - gave up on them when White destroyed the team through his rubbish game plan and coaching.

Basque. I'm just saying, that teams got the winning feeling. The amount of plus 50 scores they put up in the CC last season is not to be scoffed at. One still has to cross the line, even if it's not quite S15 level. Actually I'd like somebody to check if a team has ever scored more on average per game in a CC season that the Lions did last year. It was a tad ridiculous actually. Granted hardly any of their players went to the WC.
