What a damp squib.

I agree with most of these selections.
The only options at 15 are Willie and as both said, had Gelant been fit, which he is now, he would have challenged Willie. But the x factor of Willie is a must. Gelant could be an option on the wing moving forward.
Combrink is a must as one wing, by far SA's best wing. JP has shown form at the right time and would add experience. I dont agree with the selection of Mvovo, past his best and has shown very little this year. Better options would be Ulengo, Kolbe and Sergeal Petersen. The sooner Senatla is brought into the fold the better.
The obvious options at centre are de Allende, Jessie Kriel, Serfontein and Mapoe. Frans Venter has also been very good for the past two seasons and is able to play 12 or 13. He looks a test standard centre
Jantjies walks it at 10, but a broken finger could put pay to a deserved start. I just want to say when it comes to Jantjies.....I told you so and have for the past 5 years!! Lambie is the obvious step in for Elton and I am with Mallett on bringing in form Goosen in. April looks handy enough but not as a test option. I prefer du Plessis and du Preez.
Faf is the in form 9.....his speed to the ball and service provides time on the ball for others. Paige has been very disappointing for the Bulls, he has stifled them with his indecision....not a test standard 9, not even close. Hougaard is not available I guess given his 7's commitment. I have been impressed with Groom this season.
Beast and Nyakane are the real options at loosehead, although our best loosehead is Kitshoff and given Coetzee coached him for many years at WP, hopefully he will draw on that and bring him into the equation. Thomas du Toit is only just back from injury and one for the near future.
At tighthead, Malherbe is the incumbent and as solid as a rock. Redelinghuis is a solid operator but I prefer the in form Marcel v/d Merwe. Maks v/Dyk has been good for the Cheetahs.
Strauss is an obvious choice, Bismark should have been as well. Marx is the new boy on the block, which Bobo has recognised. I like the energy Scara brings off the bench. Akers of the Lions is another real contender.
The locks almost select themselves in Etzebeth, PSDT and Lood.....its a case of working out who is to partner Eben. RG Snyman has been a brilliant find and will be a Bok very shortly. I suspect Jenkins will make as much of an impression. Lewies has been good for the Sharks. Willemse has been very good for Jake. I feel for Mostert as he is simply brilliant week after week.....but probably 5kg too light for a test lock, hence my call to use him at 7
Jaco Kriel is head and shoulders ahead at 6, what a class act he is. A must at 6. Kolisi is not big enough for 7, he is a viable bench option and in good form. Carr and Labs have been good. Good to see Kirsten mentioned as an option. Like Willemse, Jacques du Plessis has been brilliant for Jake, mostly at 7 but also at lock. Mostert at 7 is a real option, as are the du Preez twins
Vermeulen and Whiteley are the options at 8. Whiteley has size stacked against him, but what a player he is. Arno Botha has shown good form of late.  

Willie Leroux and Jantjies on the same field playing an open game plan will be impressive.
Leroux was average for the Sharks to begin with- but he is now the catalyst in most tries. 
I just don't understand why more of our backs do not have these passing skills  Leroux runs angles to draw players and create space- before passing. 
He is unpredictable because he is a playmaker and a finisher. The opposition knows he is not going to look to crash ball each time. 
Around 2 years ago Meyers Boks were playing a very good attacking game- but it might have just been Leroux was making up the game plan on the pitch.
Maybe even playing him at flyhalf is an option as he is usually playing 2nd receiver of multi-phase play. 

Jantjies at 10 and Willie at 15 would be perfect....as both have great creative vision and the ability to put people into space.
The potential is endless

 The overrated Le Roux should abandon his dumb chip kick when attacking in the opposition red zone.

I support your team - but is two slow loosies the answer?  I think we have learnt that we need two speedier loosies and one slower one.   In my opinion t he idea that your blindside loosie must be an extra lock is problematic.    

Mallett's team isn't bad but it's time we dumped these overseas based players.

Coetzee (or any other Springbok coach for that matter) would actually have his job made slightly easier if we make it policy not to consider overseas based players. It would certainly open up a few positions that could be filled with local black players.

For example, if you don't pick the likes of Bismarck, Vermeulen and Flo, you can replace them with players of colour like Marutlulle, Kolisi, Notshe or Mtembu. This would not only encourage our better players with test aspirations to stay put, it also makes it significantly easier to select players of colour who would not necessarily be the best in their position if we were selecting overseas based players.

South Africa has a huge talent pool and we should not be reliant on individuals who choose to play overseas. I won't argue that the loss of someone like Duane Vermeulen won't weaken us to some extent but we have a production line of test quality loose forwards to take his place. I reckon in a year's time when the Du Preez monsters have matured (and improved their handling it must be said) we'll all be calling for Vermeulen to be dropped anyway.

Meant to add, good for Gcobani Bobo punting deserving Lions players like Whiteley, Combrick and Marx.

My Bok side would definitely have a core of Lions players . . .

Oh joy, you managed to get the Kriel/Stepfontein combination back in there....the pairing of the three metres...gained that is .......bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahaha!

 This is indeed funny  -   Etzebeth came back from a long injury absence and had a poor game on Saturday.   De Allende came back from a longer injury lay-off and his first game was poor - but his subsequent games much better.  De Allende is condemned for playing a poor game on his return - not a word was said about Etzebeth.
De Allende was much better in his subsequent two games - despite a game plan where the loosies took over the flyhalf role.   Etzebeth is also bound to improve - so give the guys a break,        

 Either way ... the squad will be diluted with substandard quotas and we may even have a few useless chumps brought in like Pienaar, Goosen and Flo.
We won't have our best representing us.
Those days are long gone ... and will never be seen again.
