He scores 7 points by kicks, misses one…..and gifts Oz 14 by missing the tackle on Jorgensen and throwing an intercept pass for an oppo try. Manie the teflon Bok, a game later all is forgotten.

Sure he does, tell me when. Still watching the Ozzie game, Manie just didn’t make 10 metres on the kickoff.

And Willemse hopelessly misses Wright for the final Ozzie try. One tackle made/one missed 2 turnovers conceded.the future is here,

The Ozzie’s over our line at the death but held up…it could have been 45 to 22.

Without doubt Rassie is being diplomatic he is hardly going to blame Manie but we all know the reality of the situation

Manie post the WC has literally not featured, dropping to 3rd in the flyhalf pecking order based solely on his goal kicking

On Saturday he was given a redemption lifeline which he completely blew. Had it been a difficult kick then fair enough - but you simply can’t blow such an easy redemption kick and expect to ever play again

The only way he can ever play again is if he plays as the secondary goal kicker which I can’t see happening in a hurry

Manie had a wobble no one denied that but he is back and like I keep saying he is our 3rd best 10 behind Sacha and Pollard

He is a class act - I’m a big fan

A class act that lost the Aussie test this year and would have lost the WC if he wasn’t jacked. Even in our dominant AB win there was nothing Manie did that any club 10 couldn’t have done.

Bullshit did he lose us the test and your take on his game against the AB’s is rugby ignorance of the highest order

Mallett on Maine’s performance

What really impressed me about Manie’s performance was that, in the second half, he didn’t overplay,” said Mallett on the Talking Boks podcast.“We scored five tries, but not by running from our 22 – we kicked smart, contestable kicks and kept turning them. He managed that balance exceptionally well.

“He came on when the pack had us on the front foot – Jasper [Wiese] was making metres, Pieter-Steph [du Toit] was carrying, the lineout was operating properly, and once Wilco Louw was on the scrum was dominant – and Manie steered us superbly in those conditions.

“In that period, his tactical kicking and decision-making were excellent: when the ruck ball was quick and we had momentum, we moved it; when it wasn’t, we kicked contestables. That balance was spot-on.”

So his missed tackle directly for a try and the intercept he stupidly threw for a try never changed the test, Bullshit he wasn’t the most implicated player in our loss.

No he was not the most implicated player in that loss - the whole side was piss poor

Intercepts happen, had it gone to hand who knows

Back to NZ….damn right he didn’t overplay…3 runs for 2 metres, 2 tackles made/1 missed, 4 times he turned the ball over to NZ.

All he did were a series of box kicks and cross kicks. And even the one that led to Kwagga’s try was just a lucky bounce.

Ah so Mallett is speaking shit

You are a joke

So his cross kick is a lucky bounce but his intercept pass against Oz is incriminating?

Yes I think he is just bull dusting. These rugby talking heads are the most clueless in sports. The cross kick bounced well in front of Dud Toit but magically it bounced straight into his hands….and are you suggesting the intercept pass wasn’t Libbok’s fault.

Manie was at 10 for the Bokke for our 2 most comprehensive victories over NZ...

One thing is for sure, Manie would be nowhere near any side that I select. He's not even third on my list.

Outside of his errors that cost us the Ozzie game, his game management was horrendous. The game management was the biggest factor in that loss. The guy just doesn't have the brain to play at 10 for the Boks. Sure he can do as he's told sometimes, but a Bok needs to know what to do without being told. Especially a 10!

I'd honestly rather have Willemse at 10 than Manie.

And isn't it nuts that Rassie wants about 200 scrummies with the squad but he seems entirely uninterested in adding another 10...when Pollard is aging and while Manie has a talent for losing is games on his own.
