The statement of Meyer at the return from Argentina is significant - there will be virtually no changes to the squad.   Taking that into account there is really no change to the play plan as well.

His remarks about the Argentinian players also bordered on the hilarious.   They are expereienced players plyoing their trade in France.   They played excellently and put the Springboks under pressure.   He also has aan experienced player - who played in France in his team - and that one showed absolutely nothing of any consequence.

So the flops stay and will be a burden on the SA team as well.   That really is bad news all round.   There was a flop - but NO correction measures will be taken - the flop team members will remain in the squad - and continue to flopk, whilst the out-of-date game plan remains in place as well..

I am getting really annoyed with Meyer's persistence with failed players and an out-of-date game plan,   If that is to be his training career achievements we really are in a bad way performance wise.   Expect a slip in the team rating sooner rather than later and two away losses in the Championship - bad ones at best.

When you start a teambuilding process - you are at liberty to change players who do not prove themselves - not to retain them and leave out talented alternatives - becaue they are "inexperienced".   So the experienced flops stay on and the inexperienced ones do not get opportunities.

Meyer's record as Sptingbok coach is not really all that impressive.   PLayed 5, won 3 and drew 2.   All of that against lower-ranked teams.

i reckon beeno wil print out a carboard human sized pic of Hm after this. how does the saying goes. in the land of the blind the one eyed is king.

meyers inablity to realise the lacking areas/game plan and player selections will be his downfall. when the days are dark and the friends are few will his medievil approach help him ????

SARU needs to speak to HM and rassie because i am very very concerned by the direction that this team is taking.

i have spoken to Hm on occasions and i must admit from personal exprience he has a very one eyed/ one track mind view of how the game is played and i doubt he will change now. international level is very different than super rugby level it seems. if one has a look at robbie deans on the other side of th ditch it seems the super coaches are finding it tough

Meyer has been an absolute disappointment thus far.

With his aggrogant attitude we are going nowhere soon.

What a shame to see my beloved Springboks in this position.

Interesting comments of yours about tthe discussions you had with Meyer - and his one-eyed approach towards rugby - it explains a lot.

I am waiting to see whether there are any changes to the squad and what those changes are.   Should be known by tomorrow at the lastest.

it was a while back but i argued about the new rules and how the game will change to allow for more open rugby becoming the standard. he was very vocal about the kick and scum way of play still has a place in the game.

i knew it was hogwash but he came across a guy that does not take advice nor is open to suggestions. very much one eyed. which is not always a bad thing but can be dangerous if things are not going your way and your under fire.his jurrasic park game plan is coming under fire and in my view rightfully so

we have moved forward as a country by getting rid of these backword thinking coaches but there is still 2 remnants of a bygone era and the likes of HM and no cups coetzee need to change there approach or they will be without a job soon
