Michael Rhodes playing some decent rugby

....catching a glimpse here and there of NH Bok possibles. I have to say Rhodes looks better than most loosies playing for the Boks in 2016. He made a splendid match saving try for Saracens vs Toulouse. Habana looked pretty sharp in the same game with a near early try. By contrast Nonu was badly skinned for Sarries only try. I am trying to get some rugby going but members appear to prefer discussing the Donald, cooking, hair curling devices and Curling the sport.

Moz, Rhodes was definitely underrated. I see Elstadt as a similar hard nosed player.

Rhodes is a brilliant player who gives it all he can each and every time.
Unfortunately, under Meyer, he was overlooked.
I read that he actually approached Meyer to enquire if he had a shot at the national level and was told that he was not being considered.
That was his last season with the Stormers, thereafter he signed up with Saracen's. 
The only reason Meyer must have overlooked him as a player was because his surname was ``Rhodes`` and that definitely would not have fitted the ANC narrative.
He was also overlooked by the Sharks and then signed with the Stormers.
Pity I for one thought he should have at least got a shot at test level.......considering some of the other selections made.

Agreed, he seems a bit like Juan Smith....and has good anticipation to compliment his physicality.
