That's the ball game.  Congrats to the Boks & their fans. I can hear the rhythm of the chest-beating all the way over here in Europe.
Not sure what the Scots got out of the game but hopefully they come away with some lesson learned.

 second try for Loodt.
Etzebeth and Loodt would make a great l ock combo.Loodt looks hurt. He seems okay.

This was a developmental Scots team. What a suicide mission, travel fatigue, new coach, new players.
What were Boks fans so nervous about?  Serious lack of confidence I hear SA fans knees knocking along with the chest-beating as the RC approaches.

Scots tried hard and were very active.
Main worry for Boks was poor scrum. Looked a bit better with matfiled off and marcell on?We can field a good backline but pack needs sorting.
Man of the match was JP - he had avery good game as did Jan.
Dr Moz will be a bit embarrased re excellent game played by Loodt.
Marcell, Vermuelen and Schalk were good. Schalk is coming back.
Strauss played well while on. Hendricks gets stuck in and he and Mvovo were also good.
The worry is Coenie and Matfield is a big no.I would like Reinach to have a go and also Faf de Klerk

 Ou JW () back.
I was confident of a good win JW ()
When you think of the injured players out etc provided all are fit we can pick a good squad.
Pollard is a great plus for the Boks. Marnitz I believe will not let a Bok side down.AJ Venter saying Schalk was good for 80 minutes. Joel like the loos trio combo - polished performance.
But as ou JW () says and Nick mallet says Scots were weak.
Meyer get your pack right.

Mallet commenting on how Scots kept niggling. Playing beyond the ball etc.Frankly they paid the penalty.Great praise for Schalk and Loodt coming from TV commentators. They say Loodt came close to winning man of match. Take note Dr Moz!!!!
Mallet saying Loodt and Etzebeth very physical. Mallets says, Marcell did very well.Says Jan had great June tests. Mentions Allende and how good he is.

Beeno: it was a training run for the Boks. One has to ask how the SARU "negotiated" such a light June test series.

Mallet concerned that Marcell is not good in slowing ball down. Mentions Brussouw.
One wonders how Brussouw, vermueln and Louw at 7 would go.Three loosies good over the ball. Add in Bissie in the closer exc hanges

Yes truth he did but I dont think he ment as a frontliner.Old matfiled is so pap these days it's far beyond a joke - his presence in the Bok squad is cause for much concern. Not how he had to tell owen that the young guns need older heads around -like himsel f of course. No he MUST GO.

Etzebeth is the best lock in the world. Is Loodt the second best? Time will tell.
These two will have retardlick and his crusties lock partner for breakfast.
No Meyer must not throw away our big advantage by playing pap victor 106 kg. I see Coetzee is 109 kg. hahhahahahaha big victor, as his groupies know him, is the smallest guy in the Bok pack and he is a lock!! Bwahahahahahhahaha

 The Trooth Fairy
What the hell dio the Springboks need a low work rate lock like Matfield for.   He is not forceful at all and even when he carries the ball he is felled by the first tackler going down straight.   Both Matfied and Botha are tired old men.
When Etzebeth is back - who would you leave out as a lock to make way for Matfield? Aside from De Jager there is also Du Toit who will be back from injury.    Will you leave out a hard working and stronger lock to make way for the  toothless Matfield?

If it was a Scottish development team - it could also be argued that it was a Springbok development team.   I for one never was nervous.
There were some outstanding performances today by some really good youngsters - I would say Pollard, De Jager and Serfontein were outstanding.   They deserve a permanent place in the match day squad of the Springboks.   Two of those were all miles better than the players who played for the Springboks against Wales.
I would always play Sefontein as a back up for De Villiers and seriously believe that De Allende must also come into the match day squad.
There are still some problems at scrummie and props that needs sorting out - but even in those cases there are good cover in any event.
