Ou maaikie and rooitwit are no doubt gutted after all their over the top confidence and rootiwts childish and derogatory remarks. Will we see ou rooitwit on the board?

Time for eating humble pie guppies and acknowledging our third team pumped your second team.

Ironically it was the De Jongh try, after a brilliant offload by the countrys premier centre, Jean De Villiers, that sunk the guppies. Ou maaaike is showing all the characteristics of an egg magnet?

Also dispite our lightweight hooker, look and number 6 our scrum was great till Malherbe went off. Malherbe got the better of beast and Kitshof the better of the spent force Du Plessis. Herbst again was better then Jannie.

Reinach looks like our Bok scrummie with Lambie his partner - looking over his shoulder at the CAT.

Stormers loose trio outplayed the sharkies all Bok loose trio.

Now we have a weeks break before touring and hopefully we get a number of players back.

I trust we shall see humble a contrite guupies contingent on the baord acknowledging the supriority of this injury ravaged Stormers side.

"Will we see ou rooitwit on the board?"

Wehe, this from the most pathetic coward in this board's history. The guy who disappears for weeks on end every time his crap 10th placed team loses is getting all red-faced because I'm not here within 20 minutes of the Stompies finally shedding their Bunny status against the 3rd placed Sharks! Too funny!

Baboon-ou, I'd congratulate your crap side on their lucky win over an injury-ravaged Sharks B team - even though we all know that Craig Joubert was the reason your Hapless Stompies finally managed a lucky win - but the last time I graciously congratulated the team that beat the Sharks, I nearly caused an international shortage in the supply of adult nappies . . . so I don't think I'll be doing that again in a hurry. If you have a problem with that, read that link and thank the childish old liar whose wrinkled white arse you lick clean on a daily basis.

Come on Cheetahs!

Moz ou rooitwit can now only enjoy some well earned EGG. Its montrous chest beating has earned it!! Hahahahha.

Koe was saying the Sharks would end the Stormers campaign - here is his account where he tries to save face.

The Stormers were too physical and too clinical for the Sharks in winning 22-15 at Newlands.

The home team won comfortably after leading 16-6 at half-time.

Juan de Jongh scored the only try of the game.

I picked the Sharks to win and did so thinking they’d have as much desperation as the team that had to win to stay in the tournament.

On this display the Sharks won’t win the competition either. If they have to travel, especially overseas for a semi-final or final, they won’t triumph. They need more physicality and greater variation to their attack. (Quite so they need more physically Muncher and creativity Muncher. Hahahahahahha)

The Stormers were desperate and desperate times call for conservative times. Against a Sharks attack that offered nothing at the gain line and even less on the counter attack it this was a game in which desperation and conservatism combined effectively for victory.

The first time the two teams met the Sharks won 12-6 in a dire match. The return wasn’t much better. The Sharks tried to be creative but their backs were always too deep in attack to threaten.

Occasionally youngsters Pieter Steph du Toit and Kyle Cooper broke a tackle and threatened momentum, but collectively there was nothing on offer from the Sharks.

The Stormers didn’t ask too many questions of the Sharks defence, but they didn’t have to because the home team pack did the business from the opening whistle. (Missing the likes of Tian, etzebeth, Burger and Elstadt)

The Stormers were very physical and simply too strong for the visitors, who lacked the imposing presence of a Willem Alberts-type player and especially Bismarck du Plessis. (Please note Muncher)

The Sharks loose-trio, with Keagan Daniel at No 8 and Ryan Kankowski at flank, lacks physical presence (As Beeno has pointed out Mucher), and with the front row taking a beating there was no way a physically inferior forward back five was going to correct the imbalance at the set piece and in the collisions.

Duane Vermeulen and Siya Kolisi were aggressive in every tackle, the scrum functioned with authority and the lineout was decent.

Jean de Villiers was strong in the midfield and mentally and physically his team was the stronger for 80 minutes.

The Sharks conceded this as early as the 61st minute when they refused to back their lineout maul to drive when five metres from the Stormers tryline. Instead they opted for the safety of three points. This at a time when they trailed by 10.

The visitors were never in this game and kicked an 81st minute penalty to get a losing bonus point, which is more than they deserved from the performance. (Quite so please note rooitwit )

The Stormers win keeps their Conference challenge alive, but their tournament challenge doesn’t have the same pulse to it. (Bwahahahaha tough on ya Keo - enjoy the egg).

Stormers are back in this. Injuries is about all tha tcan stop a resurgence.

Beeno I will be humble to say the Stormers deserve the win today - so I am not shying away - like you allege.

Let me just add something more than what was already said.  I was pleasantly surprized today  by the prformance of Van Aswegen - no frills - but just a hardworking performance .  He did what is required from a good flyhalf - read the game properly - and kick when necessary - but for the rest provide a fast and effective service to the backline.   I personally think that that is where the improved Stormer backline performance todaay originiated from.   De Villiers put up an excellent performance next to him today.and i showed the difference between a thinking flyhalf and an unthhinking one.

I am beginning to like the idea of replacing Du Plessis with Malherbe in the Springbok team more and more.

Yes Mike van Aswegen didnt make game changeing mistakes. However I fear that Allistair will Jantjes. If grant werefit he may however het the nod over jantjes.

Malherbe and Kitshoff are about ready for internatioanal rugby. Put is a strong hooker and powerfull pack and they should do well. Outside the scrum they work very hard.

Please cheer up ou rootiwt he is in a state of shock! He believed his own hype.

...Moonbean...i hear the rain puddle team has finally had some success catching that hungry Shark that keeps feeding on Cape Town tribe....good to see you're back on course and not lost at sea like some drifting octopus......Mighty Chiefs hit the bar last night but only minor damage as NZ conference still has Mighty Chiefs anchored in top spot.... When can we expect to see the rain puddle team on the horizon ?....Hopefully for you its all plain sailing from here on in and we don't hear any more SOSes from the SS Stormers...

Sitting Bull

I was not very happy with what I saw of the Chiefs yesterday.   They put up  really poor show and that is a fact - they were  comprehensively outplayed by the Reds and that for me is a worrying sign.

Excellent performance overall from the Stormers, the forwards was more physical at he breakdown and with ball in hand. From what i observed Van Aswegen had a solid game, his clearance kicking is acceptable, Lambie had nothing on him. The two Sharks centres isn't so effective as mike described before regarding Jordaan, he has a lack of strength with ball in hand defending was also a issue with him last week against Fruean. The logical solution to establish a good backline is to move JP Pietersen to outside centre, he has the physicality to be a more stronger crash ball centre. Im not convinced Sharks will do well in NZ and AUS due to the lack of mobility amongst the backs, The mighty Stormers should do better and the return of Etzebeth and Habana will only make them better. Look out!
