He could not hit a barn door today....

Marx is starting to look like he is past his best. It has been some time since he has played at his top form. He is becoming an Adriaan Strauss who declined in later years.

We have not seen him win turnovers or dominate the ruck in ages, and his lineout throws are without purpose. He rarely carries the ball up any more, and when he does, it is for paltry metres gain

Then we have Bongi on the bench, who is even more past his best. We need some new hookers, or Marx hopefully gets back into form.

Bongi is no longer an international standard player, and persisting with him risks any chance at the next World Cup. The Boks lacked a quality backup hooker in 2023 that could scrum and throw, and it almost cost them.

The Brilliant Dr.Lucky is leaving Young inform hookers like Johan Grobbelaar, Andre Hugo Venter out of the squad.

Instead he is carrying on with older players and this is recipe for disaster….he has totally fucked up in building a future squad, especially for 2027.

He made his bed and now he must lie in it.

Did anybody else notice that Marx had a serious pout on before the game?

They were showing the Boks after the national anthem and Kolisi/Marx shared a hug that looked colder than February in Moscow.

I kept an eye on him during the game and didn't seem Halle at all.

Could there be some discontent in Rassie's merry kingdom?

Marx was very involved in everything. One of the busiest forwards on the park for the first 30 minutes (which is as far as I've reviewed the game so far).

He's probably our best forward at the moment. And my choice for captain.

But he didn't look happy. I get the sense that something is afoot in the Bok camp.
