to ply his trade in France with Top 14 outfit Stade Francais.....

Not to be negative, but personally I would rather stick with Pat Lambie and Goosen.

I think he is at the end of his international career and must now look at securing a better future financially for him and his family.   However, the Bulls will not relieve him from his contract with them that ends next year and it is unlikely that he would leave for France.

Morne is Going Nowhere, bulls already denied the rumours, he will be with the Bulls until his contract expires at least.

If he left, it would be one way of him retaining his Bok place. It seems overseas form is not taken into consideration for Bok selection, hell look no further than Steenkamp.

If Morne stays in SA his shortcomings will be apparent and he wont make the Bks again

snapster wake up. Steenkamp was solid against England and put in some great hits. His selection was fully vindicated.

As for CJ well he is not a tigthead these days - much possibly like Coenie.

Please note that Louw and Brits were also overseas additions - both of whom you rate.

Finally also note the Boks won all three matches dispite all your doomsday talk!

Bwahahahahahhahahaha - your trouble  is you need to see an optician! Hahahahhahahahahahaha

On the money Beans, Steenkamp may not be the same player he was a year or two back, but he did very little wrong. Saff has decided Steenkamp doesn't deserve to be there, and that means no matter what Steenkamp does or how well he plays, Saff's opinion won't change. Weather Steenkamp is too old and should be making way for younger players to gain experience? Is an argument that could possibly hold water, but his performances were more than satisfactory.

Am with Saffex on that one - Steenkamp was poor against the Scots.   He was scrumming inwards and upwards after the fourth scrum - because he could not take the pressure.   Somehow Owens proved that that kind of scrumming is not penlizable in the Northern Hemisphere so Steenkamp did it as well.   You moan about the POMS test reffing - but what about the same thing being done by one of your favourites and him getting away with it.  Practice what you preach - please.   If rated properly he would have received nothing more than 4 out of 10 for that effort.

In the English test the scrumming was a sham - because the props constantly use illegal tactics and they won penalties from the referee on that basis.   They teach them well in Europe - scrum inwards and upwards illegally and the NH refs would penalize the opposition.  Steenkamp in particular - fat and unfit - learned well from that one.   He was slightly better than he was in the Scottish test - but not a house on fire at all.

Keep Steenkamp around and play him in the SH - and we will be in serious hot water penalty wise.   But then - you are apparently in favour of the geriatric retreat for rugby has-beens - so keep it up.
