Racing Metro wiped the floor with White's Montpellier foreign team.   There backline was totally disfunctional and Fat Fransie played a horror.   The worst thing that could happen to the egg-collectors was that Goosen played at flyhalf and had a brilliant game.   So what now from the two BSers?    Typical White game  - a team has only 10 players and Fat Fransie and that is where his game ends.

I know the cowards will not respond to this thread – but lets look at the stats of the various SA players in this match, which confirm my version:-

Frans Steyn

Fat Fransie  had a game he would rather forget about:-

Balls handled                 -     15

Balls kicked                    -       2

Balls passed                   -       6

Balls carried                  -       7

Meters gained              -      15

Tackles beaten             -        4

Off-loads                       -        3

Turnovers conceded   -        2

Tackles made               -        4

Tackles missed            -         2

Fransie made two wild passes that went to nobody and although the opposition did not get hold of the ball afterwards – Montpellier lost many meters of ground in those two cases.

Johann Goosen

Try assist                         -      1

Balls handled                 -     39

Balls kicked                    -      13

Balls passed                   -       19

Balls carried                  -       7

Meters gained              -      34

Line breaks                   -         1

Tackles beaten             -        3

Off-loads                       -        1

Tackles made               -        4

Tackles missed            -         1

Although Goosen kicked the ball more than normal – three of his strategic kicks landed Montpellier in serious problems and that resulted indirectly in tries being scored and a further two resulted in penalties conceded, which was converted.

Bismarck du Plessis, Jacques du Plessis and Paul Willemse

Bismarck du Plessis produced nothing positive during the game and he was more noted for missing 4 of the 13 tackle attempts and giving away 3 penalties.

Jacques du Plessis tried hard – but was ineffective.   He carried the ball 6 times making 10 meters territory gain and made 7 tackles missing 1.

Paul Willemse tried hard as well – but in reality was also ineffective.  He carried the ball 8 times for a meter gain of 22 meters and his tackle stats were the same as Jacques Du Plessis.

The rest of the SA players were all average to poor – bad news

No response from the egg-masters expected.   However, there was another statement made by the commentators during the game and that was that Goosen was thus far this year the most valuable player of Racing Metro - not the most expensive - but valuable from a performance perspective.

Was Fat Fransie playing at 10?
Not that it matters as he tends mess everything up no matter where he plays.
Chump second to none I know of.

Fransie was playing at 12 - but he is a Mozart favourite - hence my comments.  Catrakillis was at 10, but also poor.   The one incident is an example -  Goosen made a clean break from within the Racing 22 running between the small gap between Steyn and Catrakillis and made about 25 meters before launching a strategic kick and play ended up deep in the Montpellier 22 - from where one of the Racing tries was eventually scored.  The other try came from a poor tackle attempt by Fat Fransie when Goosen dragged him for meters off-loading the ball to a player outside of him who scored.

Soooooooo ... he likes Fat Fransie.
I like Patrick Lambie.
Dave likes Jantjies.
Ceradyne likes Morne Steyn.
You like that injury prone twat Johan Goosen.
Is it really such an issue?
Why carry on like a 5 year old? Are you that unhappy with life?

40-25 was the score.  Racing was leading by 40-18 and then drop their intensity a bit allowing for Montpellier to score a try in the last minute of the game.
