You were spewing poison about the European Golf circuit being so poor and the US one the only one that counts - yet in the World Match Play championship going on at present there is not a single US player in the semi-finals.

 Let me remind you that Oosthuizen and a large number of other players play in both tournaments - not only in the US Tour.  The egg re mains in your court - the only egg collector in this case.

Tokkie you moron, it's not about where the players come from....it's about the strength of the Tour. Nobody who knows a bit about the game will argue that the European tour, week in and week out, is nearly as strong as the PGA tour. 
I know penetrating that thick skull of yours requires a power tool, but read this and think about it before you make another uneducated response:
McIlroy, you may recall, missed several events, including title defenses at Firestone and the British Open, after ripping up his ankle during a friendly game of soccer on July 4. And while the Euro Tour, in a last-gasp effort to survive against the deeper-pocketed US circuit, golfers will need to play just five of its events next year -- the requirement for membership in 2015 was 13.

 What has the above garbage to do with the question under consideration in any event? 
  

 What it tells you Tokkie is that the top players in the world all play on the PGA tour, and those top players who also play on the European tour are doing so less and less. Hence the fields on the PGA tour are consistently stronger.......and coming back to the silly argument you were making, it shows Schwartzel's win in the Valspar  was considerably more significant than Oosthuizen's  win in Europe.

 So far this year McIlroy has played 2 comps in the USA and 3 in Europe.  That is a typical example of what happened.   The players playing in Europe when the comp is in Europe and the gulf states and then for money sake put in appearances is n the USA where they clean up in competitions.
Schwarzel has played in two European competitions this year and 4 in the USA.  
However, that is no argument - money does not determine the quality of golfing performances and your argument is absolute tripe.      

 Dumbass money determines the field and the field determines how difficult a tournament is to win. The PGA fields are massively better.....are you actually even  more stupid than I thought?

 Starting again with the stupid comments.  There are a few top players from the USA, the rest are not so competitive, the rest the players are in fact inferior competitors.   Fact is that the players who did win this year are not from the US - but from other countries,  McIlroy and others are typical examples of what actually happen.  May I remind you about the real situation last week - the four players going through to the semi-final stage had no US players and even Schwartzel you praised so highly previously - was nowhere in sight.  The Ryder Cup over the past few years were also typical examples.  
         

Of the top 20 golf tournaments in the world, as computed by the system agreed by both the PGA and European tours...17 are PGA tour events. Conclusion, in the aggregate the PGA tour is much higher ranked than the Eurpean tour.

The top 20 world ranked golfers all play on the PGA tour. Of those top 20, only 7 play on the European tour apart from occasional events and the British Open. Conclusion the PGA tour is much higher ranked than the European tour.

 Not the ranking of the tournaments - but the ranking of the quality golfers is what counts here - but then we have to put up with the prize money aspect and say because that is higher - the quality of the participants is higher.  That is baloney - I have seen and occasionally watched US tournaments and in some cases the participants are the same group of players who normally loses against quality golfers from elsewhere. 
Your rating of sportsmen in all sports apparently has to do with performance - everything to do with reputation and this is the same case here.  

Sixty three of the top 100 golfers play the PGA tour....30 play the European tour, but many of those 30 play multiple events on the PGA tour. The field's for PGA tour events average much higher scores on the ranking system agreed by both Tours....so PGA events are much harder to win. Case closed.
