Mozart's heroes - a tale of two approaches

His heroes have been all of the older players selected by Meyer in the WC squad.  These player were basically selected based on reputation without regard to performance.   That being said - there were many serious bugger-ups they made in the period 2014 and 2015 when they did play.   When they fouled up there was a number of strategies used by Mozart to consider.  Those include -
*  not to mention them at all in his comments on the match in the hope that other club members will not mention them in their comments; and  
*  if other members have the audacity to mention the foul-ups, Mozart will either try and cover them up by trying to blame other players as to what followed or ignore that it ever happened by never commenting on the issues raised.
If the Springboks lose - like in the Japan test or any other matches - he would blame the loss on certain of the players he dislikes.   This can go to extremes - like happened in the WC semi - where he blamed the try scored by Barrett on De Allende.   Not a word about Barrett just stripping the ball from Burger's hands and in the resultant moves by the AB's Nonu ran towards the side of the field with De Allende following him and making a perfectly good tackle on him with Nonu off-loading the ball to Barrett.  Pietersen did not cover the defense properly ad the recipient was in the clear as a result.   So De Allende gets the blame - with Burger and Pietersen exonerated.   He swore his interpretation was correct and then posted a video clip, proving nothing but that he lied in how he initially described the incident.
Then he also "discover" heroes from other teams to discredit younger players.   These included players like Kuridrani, Kerevi and Sio.   There only heroics stemmed from the fact that they did something that could be used to discredit Springboks he dislikes.   Most of those stories are on evaluation often enough tainted and very very dubious.   Some of those are actually dubious and done to avoid his favourites from being blamed for bugger-ups.
What is amazing is that even when the incidents happened years ago - Mozart keep repeating them on this site as factual, even though it was initially proved that he was talking crap initially.
The best thing to do is to forget what happened in the past and look at present performance of players and their future usefulness.
